let's talk about skyrim!

  1. True, although that time to get used to it is quite extensive, given how massive the game is. Which is good, as I enjoy a good challenge, but I feel like a huge noob whenever I play. :p

  2. I bought Skyrim along with the 3 DLC's on Xbox-360, and I absolutely love it. It is probably my favorite game ever (besides Minecraft :p). I just got a new PC a while back. I was wondering if I should buy Skyrim for the PC? And also, if I buy it how much are the DLC's? I can not look at the moment because I have not downloaded Steam yet.

  3. skyrim is $20
skyrim legendary edition (which has all of the DLC) is only $40
so buying the extra edition is WELL worth it <3

hearthfire is $5 dragonborn is $20 and dawngaurd is $20
  4. Whenever I played skyrim id just summon two demon lords to be my shock troops whenever I entered a cave or somthing, when they die I summon a couple more I had just enough mana to do this, when I got bored of watching them kill things (Dragons included) Id stride up in my legitimately obtained demon armour from the soul forge whilst wearing the dragon mask of death (Khonarik) and wielding spellbreaker and a demon axe, I would ruin all the Ai's days :p :p :p :p :p

  5. I would wait for the steam summer sale. I managed to snag skyrim regular edition for six USD I think. Legendary was 13 or so but I wasn't interested in buying it at the time.

  8. Wow, the graphics are great. I saw a friend playing this a few months back, it looked pretty good. Maybe I'll have to get a new game for Xbox :p

  12. You lucky bastard ;)

I really hope you're going to have fun. And to be honest, I do envy you a little bit. Because that first moment when I dove head first into Skyrim... Yah, I still remember that. 1 - 2 weeks into the game (few hours every evening) and I:
    1. Didn't even start the main quest yet.
    2. Was waaay too busy to care because of all the exciting discoveries and all the awesome sub-quests.
      • Some of them were complicated enough to feel as if they were part of the main storyline.

Really good times & good memories :)

Just too bad the PS3 version was so horribly bad :(

  13. PC MASTER RACE! YAAAAAAAAAY
  14. recently with the steam summer sale, both morrowind and oblivion were on sale below 7$ which was amazing.. so, i've been playing with morrowind the last week.
mods can't even help this game... lol

and what is it with the rude npc's?! i bought some armor off the guy in the first town you arrive in, and sold him the stuff i had on (which left me naked) and when i exited his quote box to go into my inventory to put my new stuff on... he says "welllll, i have seen one of thooooooooose in a while" what?!!
  15. "What do you want, Outlander?"
That's one of the things that lend it so much personality, really. You're an intruder on native Dunmer land, and they're not the most sociable even at the best of times. I'll grant you it takes a lot of effort to get into the game - particularly these days when Skyrim spoiled us on fighting mechanics and graphical prettiness.

Speaking of which, my brand-new GTX 970 arrived yesterday, along with 8gb more RAM, so I'm hoping I can run Skyrim with all the ENB fanciness cranked up, instead of just switching it on for screenshots.

  17. Wat? ._.

I've always found Skyrim's fighting mechanics to be absolutely terrible. Hitting someone with a sword in Skyrim, to me, feels like hitting someone in the face with an inflatable paddle :p
