The chat notification alerts work, but they're broken in the sense that I cannot customize it, even though the options are there. No matter what options I mess with, when I test it, the system acts as if I never messed with it. (Enable/disable, ringer type, ringer pitch, and so forth... :\ )
Hmm. Yeah. They would be broken. 1.9 broke all of the sounds. Gotta make some changes to make it work again.
Thanks for the confirmation. I was afraid that I was the only one with this issue (due to it being client-side) and that I wasted people's time. Not a big deal though, just an annoyance.
is anyone else unable to get online? I was in a precarious place in the end and the server started acting funny. it started lagging then i got a message "timed out." Now I try to log on and it just keeps pinging the server and wont connect. boooo, I hope i dont die in the end right now.

I was playing tonight on SMP 1 in the end when there were some lag issues. It kicked me once and told me the server timed out. Then i logged back in played for a short bit then i was kicked again and now i can not log back in. I am also unable to connect to the server. Is it everyone or just me? I restarted the game, that did not help. I rebooted my system and restarted the game, this did nothing to help. Does anyone have any ideas?
They have to have the frostwalker enchantment on their boots they are wearing. Works for me when I test on an alt. I was able to login. Maybe try again?

Has anyone else had trouble getting the F3 info to work? I have to try multiple times to get the F3 display to come on. I have to wait about 1-2 min between hitting F3 because when it does work, it is SEVERELY delayed. I have the same issue turning off the F3 display. I tried it in single player & it works fine just like before 1.9.
Well the F3 functionality is client side so it it weird that it is working in singleplayer but not multiplayer. That said, F3 works fine for me.
Is anyone else having trouble getting into EMC? I play SMP3 and I can't seem to get in (it shows as having no connection, at all). But if I look at the livemap, I can see a handful of players in there.
A "friend of mine" just gave this a try and connected directly to SMP3. No issues. Seems a bit quiet there right now (16 players) but it was normally accessible.
Somethings up, because I'm still getting no connection available. I also got a warning about the website authenticity, which has never happened before.
How did you post? can you hit learn more? No idea why the EMC site is having this issue. The maint I did earlier was not on EMC site :\
The connection issue to the website only happened a couple times earlier. It's connecting now, but it's somewhat slow. If the page comes up again, I'll click the learn more option. I was able to post, after clicking refresh a couple of times. As for getting into EMC, I'm still unable to connect at all...
