  1. Yea I guess so. It just so tragic that people have the conscience to do something like this. Anyway, my heart and prayers goes out to all those families whose lives will be for ever shattered by this. I hope no one here has been adversely affected :)
  2. We do seem to be better off for it, so I have no problem.
I would prefer if the person got pulled over before, rather than after they did something bad.

  3. There would be many precautions if they did allow that but would have to get approve by the school's board and possibly the Sheriff's Department. Many 3a-5a schools in Houston just hire cops to be stations at the school in a Centralized location if any thing would happen like a fight, riot , etc.

I agree with ICC it would be a very hard to shut down those "underground markets" two more would pop up. They are exactly like ant beds
  4. Indeed. We can try and find solutions to tragedies like this all day long...the sad truth is, there really IS no fix because evil people will never abide by any law or fix we create. Things like this just happen and it's bullcrap...but that's the life we live in.

  5. Does this post remind anyone else of The Dark Knight?

  6. Here's the problem, you can't predict the future. Say I get pulled over on my way to prepare for a mass shooting. I tell the cop that I'm going to my mom's to visit for dinner. He lets me go and I go mass shoot people. The random pull over fixed nothing.

  7. Pulling over to ensure the safety of all people in the community... pulling over to check if you have your licence to drive and aren't underage... pulling over to ensure you aren't drunk driving... how on earth is that a bad thing??!
  8. Yea, unfortunately ae. Wish people would just take a stand and know that this is wrong, and that is right.
  9. Pulling me over on my way to a function I might already be running late for, just because you "feel like it"? Sorry that's bull.

  11. Of course it wouldn't, but they wouldn't just be looking for that.
This post pretty much sums up what I was going to say.
  12. Well, all in all, from what I have heard, and from what I see where I live, the gun laws here, in the UK and possibly other places are actually working. So something must be being done right....
  13. I don't quite know what they do in Australia but it seems to work ok.
  14. Law of numbers my friend.
  15. They have less guns. Less guns = less illegal dealings available.
  16. and people.

  17. So you are speeding over the speed limit to the function. Is it then bull of the police to pull you over? Or should they leave you breaking the law? Or, you are drunk from a pre party for that function, and are swerving drastically in the road. Is it then bull of the police to pull you over and prevent you from being a danger to other people?

The police here don't just pull every joe and jane off the street. They look for signs of trouble... use their resources to best ensure a safer community.
  18. ... And thats exactly how it is over here!

  19. Unless they are those power hungry cops...
  20. That's not what you said. Yes, IF I'm breaking a law, of course pull me over. They already do that here. So, it's clearly not the law that's working.
