EMC New Permanent Ban Stance

Actually, I think this pot has been simmering for quite some time, and a combination of factors boiled it over.
1) Aikar built or improved vastly tools which allowed the staff to see who was using what cheat programs and when
2) people started posting "I was banned" threads in droves
3) I and a few others stated our displeasure with how things have been going re allowing those which cheat in EMC back
4) I and a few others stated our displeasure over seeing proof of continual cheat programs used to give others advantage and us feeling disadvantage playing legit and thus tempted to do so ourselves
5) staff talking about the evolving situations and what would be best for EMC, and deciding a more strict stance and policy was required
6) people fearmongering all over the forums after finding out a few well known and long term and popular players had been banned under the new policy

I think that about covers it for now.

Look people I know that I was wrong but it's not right just to bann me for killing me but not banning him! I should be granted a second chance to prove myself about this whole thing!

Prove what? you already flat out admitted to PvP against someone on this server network, that's plenty proof right there. You were banned for what you did and admitted to, and they had proof you actually did it.

Seriously, what do you think you have to prove? If you murder someone in cold blood, admit to it, and the authorities have proof of it, it doesn't matter why you did it, you did it and will get the punishment prescribed for it. It's the game version of premeditated murder, and a ban is the game version of execution.

No you shouldn't. You knew it was not allowed. You admitted you did the crime.
PVP is not, should not, and (hopefully) will not be tolerated. Especially now.

What I want to prove is how I can become a better civilian. But the person who told me said they'll take the blame. I guess not.

There are some crimes which should never be forgiven both in life and in cooperative games, and this is one of them.

Vigilante justice only ends up getting the 'defender' of the people an execution.

...."Hey you killed that guy there but I'll take all the blame and get in trouble!" Who in their right mind is gonna do that?

Also by all your spamming on this thread, your chances of any kind of appeal are going from slim to none.

On the contrary, it's a very good day. Cheaters are a poison to games and we're simply ridding the poison from EMC. Better days coming forward from this.

Not many people get second chances, but when they do, they make the best of it.

I think this is actually a good idea ... i know it was a little ironic to me specifically that the thread was posted same time i was perm banned ... but actually the thread still makes sense ... i know that i sometimes might make sarcastic remarks to others as jokes ... but to others it might not be a joke at all, and i need to realize that ... cause sometimes what i could say could hurt others .... i never meant for that, but it did happen ... and the banning happened ... so if i ever get a chance to come back ... me starting fresh would i supposed be fair - as punishment ...

(so while i'm still on here discussing how good the thread is, anyone that reads this ... i truly am sorry if i did hurt you by saying something ... i might be a jerk at times, but deep down if i make other people sad ... it makes me feel like crap ... and if people don't trust me or like me, that makes me a bit upset ... but it also makes me realize how wrong i can be ... i'm not perfect ... but i do want people to know - i did like playing with all of you ... even the ones i didn't get along with, i still partially enjoyed the company)

I think the perma ban thing is a good thing, otherwise "permanent" bans have no meaning and no one learns their lesson. On the other hand, I think having it come into effect five days ago is not quite right. When some new rule or something like that goes into effect, I think people should have a warning, not worry about what they did a week ago that might get them in trouble for something that just went into effect now.
