EMC New Permanent Ban Stance

  1. Exactly, you cannot have a strong growing community without rules.

    Let's say you were playing a baseball game with a bunch of your friends in your neighborhood. You guys start playing but in the beginning you did not state any rules so there are none. So that means you can steal a base whenever you want, you can run whenever you want, and you can hit/push the runners whenever you want to because there are no rules. In short it is a corrupt game.

    Now if you do not establish rules in the beginning you will start to have a corrupt server.

    It is our responsibility to provide a safe and secure server for our visitors, who are mostly children, to play on.

    Minecraft is a very easy target for pedophiles to target due to the large # of children who play, so having extensive tools to catch suspicious behavior is absolutely required: This means private /tells.

    As many have said already, you do not have many LEGAL rights while on private property.

    But at EMC, we are a very professional group, so we do give you the right to an enjoyable play experience. We do not try to harm your ability to play the game.

    Whether or not a person admitted to breaking the rules in /tell or in town does not matter, they broke the rules. We can not give people an open channel to freely admit to breaking the rules and doing other illegal things.

    Also, you seem to believe our punishments are too harsh... Our community and staff disagree. We have been too lenient.
    Flying _IS_ a major crime, as it lets you get to and from town without harm, and get around collecting resources at a faster rate. This is unfair to others, especially on a server that has an economy.

    No form of cheating is appropriate.

  4. I agree with ZBSDKysten, he's trolling asking the same questions giving the same answers not solving anything.

    If you keep arguing about this I'm pretty sure someone with little patience and being rude towards you will answer your questions with little respect. In last few page few members have giving you respectful answers and stay cool headed.

    The idea is now out there and we're sure that it will get around that you'd better not break rules anymore as the easy way outs are gone. Locking the thread as it's gotten a tad bit off topic.
