Northern Nigeria has finally been liberated and all terrorist groups residing in the area were cast out. The AC-130 Gunship was a huge help. Now, with much more men, TUN is strengthing Nigeria borders. TUN has also decided to make Nigeria a United North Colony. Under the colonial rule, TUN will vow to please the Nigerian people and give them a free and peaceful world to live in. Their economy and infrastructure are promised to skyrocket, and their cities built into glorious splendour. Cameroon has granted an alliance with TUN and the two have worked hard to drive out the Omni Laham occupation. TUN continuously conducts bombing raids on Laham forces and makes sure that they're dead. The Laham regime does not belong in this world and will be driven out into their graves. Cameroon is still very much under siege though, and Laham is not pushing down. Nigeria is in a state of brokenness due to post-civil war trauma, while Cameroon is in a state of protest against the government who doesn't protect them.
Report on the Omni Laham crisis: UN officials have just received important news on the death of Mohammed Laham, the leader of the Terrorist group, Omni Laham. Mohammed Laham was killed in Maroua in a United North Airforce bombing run. He was said to have been travelling into Chad when he was locked into the city and his convoy was destroyed. The pilot who dropped the bomb was Pilot. Johnston Marshall who was flying an F-4 Phantom. Mohammed was being tracked for a number of days when his convoy was discovered heading to Maroua. This could mean a new edge for TUN in Africa. Now with Laham as a crumbling terrorist group, there won't be anything stopping TUN now.
This is very good news for HMKX as well; Benin shall now be a HMXK ally as Omni Laham resistance crumbles. In addition, HMKX is currently trying to manage a crisis between NAE and Guinea as relations fall apart between them. NAE and Guinea have now entered into an arms race. HAE has bought an 1950s Imposition-Class Aircraft Carrier and seriously modernized it, trying to become a great power in their own right and join the HMKX inner circle, and Guinea is trying to do the same. In addition, Guinea is expanding its Air Force by buying old E-2 from the Empire while NAE buys from France Dassault Mirage F1s. HMKX likes France and has significant economic ties to them, and is cool with NAE buying French jets. They are expanding their tank force, with the NAE and Guinea buying TO-3 due to the fact TO-2 are bad all-terrain fighters. While they both seem to want to be allies with HMKX and want HMKX help, they do not like each other. Keep in mind these are the two strongest nations in Africa, both in terms of economic superiority and military might. That carrier significantly changes the balance of power, as NAE can now project strength across Africa, and Guinea, its main rival cannot. Every other nation is 1. Poor. 2. Not militarized. 3. Too dependent on a Combine. HMKX is trying its best not to play favorites, but Guinea is kind of the primary HMKX aluminum source and HMKX leans towards them.
Kurdish Rebels have declared war on Iran with the silent backing of Saudi Arabia and HMKX. As Iran and Saudi Arabia fight a shadow war for influence, HMKX is backing the Saudis and mostly Sunni powers. The Middle East is blue.

Nigeria seems to be improving the most, while their military is converted into a UN-friendly one, although there are still many rebels in the military. Cote d'Ivoire is a smaller nation and not as economically huge, but since they weren't impacted heavily like Nigeria by war and such, they are improving as well. Due to the collapse of the Omni Laham, TUN and Cameroon fighters pushed them out of the country with success. Now Cameroon thanks their helpers by now becoming an ally with TUN. TUN has started a trade deal with Cameroon for their abundance of Petroleum, cocoa beans, Aluminum and Gold. New Abyssinian Empire, they are currently on bad terms with Guinea, but they are both HMKX allies so this makes for a ridiculous dynamic with both nations trying to curry favor but also be strong in their own right. They are trying to one-up each other with NAE buying an Aircraft Carrier and Guinea on the verge of doing the same. They are also both very wary of TUN and FRNS because HMKX mostly leaves them alone to their own devices to do what they want without interference but TUN and FRNS are both more... direct. They in particular fear FRNS because they want to turn Africa into a second British Raj, they will never allow that as long as they stand as nations and is the only thing they agree on and they will fight FRNS to the death for it. They are trying to, combined with HMKX backing contain FRNS/TUN influence. HMKX doesn't influence them, they trade with whomever they want and HMKX won't stop them with force unless absolutely necessary.

The government of Cote d'Ivoire has successfully been transitioned to a parliamentary system and resides a democracy. French remnants of the past are starting to be left behind, and The United North way of living is now in style. Sure, they still keep their rich culture and arts, but their governments are becoming more progressive and they are indeed becoming a much safer and brighter nation. TUN will keep Cote d'Ivoire as a close ally, and a trading partner, taking in over 40% of their exports. The relationship is almost like a colony, but yet not so. Due to FRNS neglecting UKNS's space program, HMKX has been able to obtain a sizable lead over them as HMKX has a substantial satellite fleet up in space and they have experience launching heavy loads into space. But the most important advantage is in the field of computing, where HMKX has developed a near-fully 32-Bit microprocessor and will develop a full 32-Bit processor in at most 1 page. They are now building a rocket to manned spaceflight, to be completed in 10 posts and fired into space as the current mostly 32-Bit processors will be more than enough to get a man into space and likely the moon. HMKX is determined to get a man into space first, now that the FRNS is distracted with African expansionism and has neglected space travel. Any move by the FRNS will likely result in HMKX simply speeding up construction of their rocket. They will check 10 times for any errors, as this cannot go wrong and it would be a national embarrassment to have the astronaut die or fail. This is all still very top secret, and the secret might be able to leak 3 posts from the launch. ARL is still scheming and they are negotiating with multiple American states to try and get them to join. Some see this as a HMKX/Commie (HMKX is not communist) trick, while some welcome the idea of the USA. New Mexico, Colorado and Kansas joined out of free will while Nebraska and Iowa were kinda pushed into it by the ARL and the fact that a lot of their neighbors were ARL and they feared retaliation. Montana thinks this is some sort of Commie trick (not true, ARL is independent from HMKX) and Tennessee is a Javorian puppet state but ARL is continuously undermining Javorian control over it. Guinea has also bought an Imposition-Class Carrier and seriously modernized it. HMKX has reinstated production of Aircraft Carrier/Amphibious assault ship hybrids in order to sell to their allies, particularly the rising stars of Guinea and NAE. This, however is likely because they are fending of FRNS influence, not because they are trying to one-up each other. HMKX is also developing lots of Helicopters.
TUN's secret project to project more satellites into space has finished. Now, two new high tech satellite equipment with advanced monitor and scanning systems are being sent into orbit. These are the, Starflyer 1 Explorer 2 They will enter orbit within 3 posts. TUN has also been hard at work developing high-tech and reliable rockets that would deliver people into space. TUN isn't really interested in the moon, mainly because they have discovered its useless resources and they allows HMKX to waste money on it if they so desire.
