Don't get ahead of yourself, UFOS needs to wait for a while to get this new ship, though UFOS could start making its own with the blueprints HMKX gave it. Because UFOS has a lesser industrial capacity than HMKX, I'd estimate a time period of 3-year production. That would give them 2. Off the coast of wherever the Iowa battleship was would do just fine, although not into TUN waters.

A four-battleship navy? It'll do well for regional dominance and asserting UFOS power in the New World, though if UFOS wants to dream big, Supercarriers are a good choice. But also prohibitively expensive and difficult to make a large fleet of without industrial might.

Funny thing? There's no good reason for UFOS's new battleship to be taunting the Iowa. But I would assume TUN knows HMKX and UFOS are both contructing battleships, and that those ships are disturbingly similar to the Iowa but better.

OH right Benin is in chaos right now, Omni Laham and HMKX forces are fighting a war. HMKX would be demolishing them if not for the rules of war prohibiting war on civilians, as Omni Laham uses civilians as meat shields so HMKX cannot fire on them. It's a mess, probably going to turn out like Iraq IRL but maybe a bit better.

The Empire and UFOs coalition about their new found material "Tantalum" was not very well secretive indeed. UN spies found out about the massive trade deals and the inflated prices (I know, it was obvious to find out but whatever) Of course, TUN knew of Tantalum much longer before but never actually took a heavy interest in it due to the lack of access. Now that the UN knows that Nigeria produces a lot of it, they have partaken in the race for Tantalum. Civil war is breaking out in Northern Nigeria. Omni Laham forces took over a large portion of the country when TUN wasn't expecting it and now TUN is responsible for devastating damages. Omni Laham is taking big steps in the torturing and mass conversion of Nigerian people. Thousands are being forcefully converted and hundreds are being killed even just for the fun of it. TUNAF has moved in and started to drive the attacking Omni Laham forces out, although due to their tactics of using civilians as meatshields and hiding equipment in hospitals, TUN is having a rough time. Back to Cote d'Ivoire. The country has been fully seized by TUN and as we speak a friendly government is being installed. Citizens rejoice with the Western invaders and finally experience a freedom no one has experienced in a long time. Cameroon is experiencing a huge Omni Laham takeover and fears for their lives as the terrorist group splits up the nation. Cameroon civilians indulge in protests and riots and the economy is dropping. The Cameroon military's only goal is to keep the president alive and the city untouched. They need TUN's help badly, and that's why TUN has finally gone through a long cycle of parliamentary debates and has brought in over 80,000 troops into Africa. The FRNS has made its debut in Africa. North Sea troops have landed in the former British colony of Namibia, where they were greeted warmly by locals, and were promptly dispatched to take down a terrorist hideout and liberate a village from its control. The FRNS Prime Minister has opened negotiations with the Namibian head of state. It is expected that the Head of State will be transformed into a governor subservient to the UKNS, with the country having to give up some of the profits it makes from its diamond, lead, zinc, copper, tin, silver and tungsten exports. In exchange, they will get protection from local terrorist cells, and development funding poured into their country to make it richer. It is widely believed the incumbent FRNS government is drawing off the plans made in the 1940s to turn Africa into the 'new British Raj', which has caused quite a storm in North Sea press - the Prime Minister, however, admits that while he is doing exactly that, his plans are far less colonial in nature. The negotiations are expected to take 3 posts.
You are aware the tantalum alliance is currently doing nothing, Otus? If TUN angered the Alliance they could be in trouble, but they aren't, so the Tantalum alliance is doing jack. NAE and Guinea warns any attempt to turn Africa into a second British Raj will be met with hostile resistance from them and their allies. HMKX endorses this statement. After a long period of trade and prosperity, Madagascar is now formally a HMKX ally. Egypt too is now negotiating a deal, and Libya (After Negotiations with Mr. Gaddafi) is now a HMKX ally. it is of note HMKX allies are not HMKX influenced. That's exactly right. I don't recall them happening in New Nations or New Nations 2 - this is the first one they've become a thing, likely because in the previous two there had to be countries left for new people to take and altering their histories in such a big way pretty much counted as taking it off a future player. And I'm fine with them being almost instant, with some 'oh yeah we helped them open their markets and prosper, etc.' beforehand. Keeps everything moving quickly and it's not that unrealistic.

The New Abyssinian Empire attacked Sudan under the pretense that Sudan and South Sudan's civil war, which reignited due to the existence and the actions of the Combines, was destabilizing and must be restabilize. They intend to create a Democratic Sudan which is allies with both it and HMKX, but not direct allies with Guinea. This was done independently of HMKX input. This is however likely a move to one-up Guinea, its biggest rival (which also happens to be indirect allies due to HMKX meddling). Guinea, in response has invaded Guinea-Bissau under the pretense of liberation from a oppressive government and is negotiating an alliance between Guinea and Senegal, done in a year.
A 11-Battleship fleet is... a bad idea. 4 is enough for power projection and shore bombardment. 11 is a waste of money, HMKX advises UFOS to instead create aircraft carriers. HMKX seriously advises them to create Aircraft Carriers instead.
Namibia is now a colony of the FRNS. They have a congress, elected through proportional representation. The senate has members nominated by the largest party in congress (who can choose up to three new members per five year term. It is allowed to have 50 concurrent members), and confirmed by the governor. If the FRNS council doesn't like something the governor does, however, they retain the right to replace him or take over the government themselves - there is no Namibian council member in the FRNS council, nor is there one for Indonesia. Regional areas now also have their own local governments. The country is now patrolled by a small but well-armed detachment of the North Sea military, who hunt for terrorists and radicalised ethnic separatists, and train Namibians for their own army. Cities and local councils have money poured into them to develop the country, with a set amount going into a welfare state that gives universal healthcare, child benefits and provisions, and more. In return, they give 40% of their rare metal goods and uranium exports to the FRNS.
