What features do you think Minecraft needs?

  1. Make fishing rods deal knock back instead of pulling the enemy/monster towards you.
  2. world gen tweaks, especially in the mountains, and more crafting recipes for tools and armor. Also, make granite, andesite and diorite more useful. stone is used all over, and dirt at least can be used for farmland. All we can do with those three right now is make them look prettier.

  3. I think there needs to be more mobs...like birds :)
  4. Nothing. Absolutely nothing. This game was great at Beta 1.7. After Beta 1.8, everything is downhill (besides horses in 1.6?). What it needs is for continuous updates to end. They're killing the game for me and many others.

  5. Your a mind reader, I would love them to add birds, on my free time I watch birds so why can't I watch birds on Minecraft :p
  6. Fixable in Vanilla 1.9!

  9. If he removes it, he would have to rerebalance the weapons.

  10. No. It's not. It can be removed by a gamerule added to every single weapon. It is not 'fixed' in 1.9.

If Mojang actually wanted to do something about it, they'd make an actual gamerule that affects the entire world.

  11. Could you explain why weapon recharge is so bad? From what I can see, it simply forces players to not spam-click which encourages more skill based gameplay.
I would disagree about that. Most of the updates have helped the game. What specific updates have hurt the game so bad that they should revert back?

  15. The update that made the game run on your GPU, for a start. It made the game pretty much unplayable for me and many other people with crappy graphic cards by destroying our framerates with the settings we were using. I can barely run the game on medium settings with a really low render distance now.

I bought the game just as it was about to leave alpha. I bought it with full acknowledgement that the game could change drastically between then and release. I disliked 1.8, but not to the point where it stopped me from playing the game (it did break my 1.7 and prior saves though c:). It annoys me when they were charging £30+ (cheap for a game, still pretty expensive - probably just up north of the UK where the income is lower, though) and constantly changing the focus of the game. Yeah, sure, I could just revert back to a version I like - I do that often, but I'd still like to play with others in older versions and some of the newer additions to the game (primarily mobs and the new combat update in 1.9) really appeal to me.
  16. Optifine is your friend when it comes to gpu based framerate bonuses. Other than wanting the game to be better optimized (they are working on that with the windows 10 version), you didn't mention any actual features you wanted removed. As for focus, it is still pretty much there. It is a game about building, mining, and exploring. 1.8 beta was a frustratingly unfinished update but it set the stage for some cool improvements. I began playing around the 1.6 beta and enjoyed pretty much every update. I actually wish they would change the core gameplay more and make it maybe a little more rougelike but I imagine others feel differently :p
  17. Well just going back to what ShelLuser said, I heard that the next update, 1.10 is called "The Far Future update" so who knows what they will do with that?
  18. All three of those are possible in 1.8 bro. :)
  19. I've always wanted tnt that you could throw or shoot like an arrow.

  20. I think there should be a feature with minecarts where you can couple a minecart to a minecart and you're able to pull and not just push. The couple should be a slime ball or something similar. I'm kinda tired of having minecarts make a getaway on me. xD
