Okay. I was thinking about starting a 'Tube channel.

I was able to pull together a 3rd part for last weeks friday night mining. I think this one is pretty entertaining. Enjoy!

This week brings 3 new videos of us exploring the new Ocean Temples on Empire. It took 8 hours to edit all the video, but I think you will really enjoy the final cut, it actually gets better as it goes. I absolutely love it.

Only just saw this thread, even though I've already watched all of the original channel's stuff; I didn't realize there was a new channel now. I've got some catching up to do.

At least 3 new videos are near ready for release by the end of this week!

Last week was not very good for production, but there was plenty of recording and play time. I set my initial expectation a little aggressive and was getting stressed instead of enjoying myself. This week I did not discourage distractions or visits/conversations from Empire players so we could all have fun and enjoy some of the fruits of our labors.

I think the final product is noticeably better when recordings are not forced, but it takes a lot longer to edit a 45 minute recording than a 15 minute one.

Another factor that I didn't expect was the addition of the second viewpoint.(I purchased bandicam for a second capture option) This can more than double the time to edit due to needing to keep things aligned and I can really only focus on one angle at a time. Again, the final product can be much more interesting, but at a cost of more time. Once the editing is done, it takes my computer over an hour to compile (at 100% cpu) and then another 20 min to upload to youtube.

I think I can only produce about 2 videos a week with the setup 'as is' and my paying job. I'm currently far enough behind that last night was editing footage from before the EMC 1.8 update I was able to do 4 a week with a single camera and a more rigid recording format. I hope anyone watching will support/understand about the changes.

Some things will still get easier with practice but I hope to use that time saved to add elements such as titles and music to round out the experience for viewers. I am very open to constructive critical review if you have actually watched a couple of recent videos, feel free to point out what you like least about my work, I won't be offended and it really has helped me get better.

If i had a better internet connection i would watch all your videos, I've chatted with you in game and you sound even nicer in person, Fav part was how a_little_fun was so enthusiastic about everything.

Made some good progress this week by getting out the first 3 in the minecart roller coaster series. Actually recorded it weeks ago and still making updates, this will be our first truly ongoing project as we have plans for many months worth of building. Added music and some intro stuff for this series, looking for constructive feedback on any of it. Still trying not to spend too much time on any one area so that content keeps flowing.

Also produced another in the Ocean monument mining series. Laurenseattle patiently joined us on an outing so I bumped it to the front of the editing line to thank her for her effort. Sometimes mining isn't all that informative or entertaining, so it's a little bit of a 'best of' mashup focusing on my favorite parts of our commentary.

Things are going really well for our youtube channel. We did a major overhaul of our living room into a home office space with 5 computers ready to play, edit or record. Still needing some pieces to get the network flowing smoothly, and not all the machines are very new or stable, but we have much greater organization.

Highly productive weekend of editing. I have been plowing through a huge backlog of stuff. Along the way, I ran into a very cool bit of material that I just couldn't pass up. A_little_fun and I took a little trip to the nether just as the 1.8 update came out and before we started working on the ocean temple. It took all day Sunday to compile about 2 hours of video into 15 minutes of non-stop fun and adventure. I know our viewers will enjoy it.

Next up is 2 more Minecart roller coaster editions. If I can get those finished, it will bring the series to current progress and then I will set a more regular release rate. We are considering a couple more series ideas:
Mod reviews (install and play forge mods)
Battle arena
Challenges

Need to do more work on custom thumbnails and branding. Anyone want to help?
