Hello all! The world can be a bit of a gray place, especially as of late. So, I want to bring some good things to light. I'd like everyone to talk about good moments they've had on the server or on the forums! Good conversations, kind gestures from fellow players, anything really! As long as it's something that has brought a smile to your face, it's welcome here. I'll start us off! I played fairly regularly on EMC a while back, though my play started to get very sporadic due to things going on in my personal life. Very recently I got a new laptop. My partner plays on EMC quite a bit so I decided to come back around and see what was happening. I was welcomed with open arms and it's seriously been amazing. I'm happy to be back in this lovely community!
This is a wonderful thread idea. A few of my close friends have been returning to EMC lately, and I'm very happy to have them back. It's also been great meeting returning players that I didn't know before, such as you! So many wonderful people on EMC I LOVE seeing players help each other out. The dedication to fellow community members can be incredible. Thank you to all you people out there that go out of your way to help others. <3
Actually, my favourite memories of EMC are probably those experienced completely outside of EMC. I mean, I really enjoy the medium of the internet, as it's a lot easier to socialise with people (to me at least) from a distance, but there's really something special about being together with someone physically. So I will name as my good moments: Meeting Palmsugar at my parental home, in 2014 Meeting TomvanWijnen and Egeau at Tom's home, in 2018 Meeting Palmsugar at my own home, in 2018 Meeting Palmsugar at the botanical gardens in Utrecht, in 2019 Meeting Dufne at the Vincent van Gogh museum, in 2019 Meeting Sprhyngtime at Schiphol Airport, in 2019 And I'm hoping for that list to grow in the future.
