How would the witch fix work? Would it only check for spruce wood planks, swampland biome, and light level? because a problem with that is because you could mass produce a witch farm. I think there should something to limit the amount of spawning places witches can spawn (9 x 7) and that there can only be one witch hut per swamp biome
I remember when beacons where 15k, now they are 7-9k, now they will crash. I thought that aikar was ruining the economy would never happen, lol.
i dont think he has implemented those changes yet, but alternative ideas from the community are more then welcome
So, idea along these lines... If the code is now upwards compatible. Why not try this idea... Create a NEW frontier with new code. Save Old frontier as 'old'. Set up a few months transition period Perhaps allow for 'Copy/Paste' of admin approved builds into NEW from old... i.e. major structures etc... -cost involved after first free more time passes... turn off old world to anything but fly/explore / etc Random alternate thoughts. Mystul
It's a totally ridiculous notion to think that low prices necessarily indicate a poor economy. The only time anyone ever hates low prices is when they have a monopoly or oligopoly on a supply line (because it cuts profits), when they paid a significantly higher price for an item that loses value after purchase (like real estate a few years ago), or when the low value item is their only means of acquiring wealth (labor, for example). Otherwise we all love low prices and both instinctively and rationally we realize that if we can fill up our cart for a couple hundred bucks then the economy is much better than when we can only buy a roll of toilet paper and a loaf of bread for that same price. For that matter, in the perfect economy there would be no scarcity and therefore everything would cost next to nothing. But what's the fun in that?
i think thats because (and someone correct me if i am wrong) there are only new seeds in the waste. wild has 1.2 and later seeds all over which changed the spawning mechanics
I think that they should spawn in bigger groups in fortresses depending on the size the odd one should spawn else where,
I love how economics always end up trying to ruin attempts at patching a error that wouldn't otherwise work without any sort of bandage.. I mean, this idea is to keep people from having to migrate into the 1.7 chunks where it is assumed that the spawn would be normal.. With nether travel, the migration would be dangerous as well as time already spent on previous bases would be for naught if something wasn't done about the spawn in the older generation chunks.. But it seems the people who have the stranglehold on the market are more worried about net loss than letting any Tom, Dick or Harry build their own farm in a dangerous world where they are faced with the growls and screams of death every second.. I am for patching it to where the skellies spawn within normal vanilla guidelines on netherbrick, although the howls of the hounds would be sufficient enough to keep me from ever going into wither farming.. If the witches spawn in swamps, why do they torture me in the desert..? I have had them drop out of my darkroom as well as in deserts while looking for mesas.. o3o
Reply hasn't working for me for some reason AutumnRain. Witches can spawn everywhere now although I've heard that they have a higher chance to spawn in Swamps. The economic fears are just fears.
Just wait for 70k members. That will be a huge rupee drain. I suggest to keep rupees valueable to introduce more promos, or really huge rupee drains like a casino maybe?
Witchhuts will be the higher priority now that we see Netherforts happened to continue working. Right now my system is semi out of commision, working on that, but i will soon get working on witch huts.
If witch huts can't be returned to their original state, I have a suggestion to make. Slime chunks are picked randomly by the game, and they only occur in a fraction of possible chunks. I suggest witches, to maintain rarity, should spawn only in swamp biomes, in slime chunks, with a light level check, and a y-layer check, (say between 60-80) but with these conditions met, they ought to spawn reasonably frequently.
No. I think we should do nothing with witches but of we have a witch hut we want fixed, we contact a senior staff and they can come out and fix it for us.
That would be incredibly time consuming and would involve a huge list of possible locations that the system would constantly be looking through. Plus, it would be very easy to just build a witch hut in a swamp anyways and claim that it is real.
