Fallout: Offland [Forum Roleplay]

    This is a Fallout Forum Role-Playing Game created in celebration of the hopeful announcement
    for Fallout 4 tonight! This game will be played in a series of chapters, with a serious
    "event" to end one. "Events" will happen in the city where the most players are.
    There are three different cities you may choose to start in:
    (Maps will be based off Google Maps, and I highly advise using it!)
    New York
    You may travel between cities but it will take your character out of play for:
    New York -> Chicago 2 IRL Hours
    New York -> Seattle 4 IRL Hours
    Seattle -> Chicago 2 IRL Hours

    • No Power Gaming.
    • No Meta Gaming.
    • No God Modding.
    • No One Line IG (In Game) sentences.
    • When talking OC (Out of Character) use brackets, ((,)).
    • Language is Allowed (Keep PG-13)
    • Groups are Allowed.
    • Romances are Allowed (Keep PG)
    • Please put the word 'Fallout' in your app to prove that you've read these rules & agree to follow them.
    • Violence of any nature is Allowed (& encouraged at a PG-13 level).
    • You may make an NPC & control it, but if you wish to control or kill another player's NPC, please ask for permission.
    • You can die from Dehydration/Hunger/Sleep Deprivation/Radiation Poisoning/Stings from mutated creatures/& wounds. To prevent these from occurring, when injured use 'Stimpaks' or 'Doctors Bags', when irradiated, use 'Rad-Away' or 'RadX' to eliminate or prevent Radiation poisoning. With stings, use 'Antivenom' to heal. Pretty much any river, ocean, etc. is un-irradiated, small puddles are however.
    • 'Stimpaks' are rare.
    • Fallout references are Allowed.
    • You can become a Ghoul if you are highly irradiated.
    • You can become a Supermutant if exposed to too much FEV.
    • There are friendly Supermutants.
    • No Blank Bios
    • You may forge a Faction.
    • You may join a Faction.
    • You may destroy a Faction (With permission).
    • Ammo is not monitored exclusively, but please keep it realistic
    • You have three warnings, If you break the rules three times, I will kick you from the RP & murder your character(s).

    War. War never changes.
    Since the dawn of human kind, when our ancestors first discovered the killing power of rock and bone, blood has been spilled in the name of everything: from God to justice to simple, psychotic rage.
    In the year 2077, after millennia of armed conflict, the destructive nature of man could sustain itself no longer. The world was plunged into an abyss of nuclear fire and radiation.
    But it was not, as some had predicted, the end of the world. Instead, the apocalypse was simply the prologue to another bloody chapter of human history. For man had succeeded in destroying the world - but war, war never changes.
    Though this was surely not the end of humanity outside the confined walls of the vaults, in fact, many survived, though at the cost of mutation. Rising from the ashes of the Old World, Humans & Ghouls rebuilt civilization in the Wasteland & adopted Old World Ideas. Several settlements were constructed & the Wasteland became habitable again, despite the mutated creatures & persistent danger of radiation poisoning. But through it all, what seemed impossible became possible. But soon, there were issues. Factions arose with varying ideas of peace & order, & many struggled to gain a foothold in the Wasteland. Among these factions are the democratic New York Freedom Force, they choose to liberate all slaves, and kill all slavers. Without remorse. There is also the Rangers of the North. This group is widespread, with presence in most large northern cities. They participate in a variety of activities, including slavery, to a small extreme. This angered the NYFF, and thus they are bitterly involved in a war in New York and surrounding areas. And why? Well because War, War never changes.

    Personality(Characteristics)- Jon is a gentle spirit but angered when his hometown is attacked. He is a bit of a wild spirit with a secret addiction to alcohol, but it is becoming slowly more under control.
    Karma(Good, Neutral, Evil)- Neutral, with leanings towards good

    Biography-Jon started out living in a small community east of St. Louis. On his 15th birthday his village was attacked by a local St. Louis group of Raiders, the Heads of Men. After that he started wandering as the sole survivor of his Village, and his travels have now taken him to what was Chicago. . He then found a roaming dog, friendlier than the rest. He trained the dog and eventually named him Jackson. They now live in a house in Northern Chicago, away from most states that are heavily irradiated from nuclear fallout.

    Clothing- Stolen and salvaged Vault-tec and a white painted combat helmet
    Personality & Bio- Beano is commited to doing whats right after setting out from his adopted parents with his brother. His adopted family comes from a long line of fev induced and crossbred humans and dogs eventually becoming horrible mutations they killed the pure human vault dwellers and struck out into the wild using the vault as their base of operations. On a hunting mission with his brother dog ozmandias he stumbled upon a mirror and realized that the prey he was hunting was like him. he convinced his brother to leave with him and change his ways and together they created their own pack of human and dog outcasts along with a few other mutants. recently beano realized that there is greater technology in new york and decided to leave his brother in charge while he searches for new opportunities. Incredibly resourceful, with alot of latent wild instinct from his upbringing beano enjoys an odd resistance to the environment he grew up in and remains unmutated by the fev virus. Beano also has a basic communication line to any kind of canine and will risk his life to save one in need, although never at the cost of any other human lives.

  20. ((Please reread the rules))


    I woke up to Jackson scratching on my door, wanting to be fed. I open the door and feed him. I open up a Salisbury Steak and eat that as my breakfast. I then grab my hunting rifle and pack and set out into the Chicago downtown. Today I planned on scavenging through an old warehouse a few blocks from here. I was hoping to find another gun as my hunting rifle was about to be too worn down to use. As I am walking there I happen across an overturned food cart. This food cart has been scavenged through except for the large knife. I take the knife, not knowing if I would really need it. I'm near the warehouse when I come upon two Molerats. I shoot one and begin to skin it. While the meat is tough I can still store it for some jerky later on.
