I did something like that for my daughter one year. Started with a huge box that had a smaller box inside each smaller box. The last box was just big enough to fit her favourite DS game inside lol Must have been like 15 of them. All wrapped separately
I know it's already over but, what my family usually does is visit the town halls decor they have set up for Christmas If you wanna see it check out the show yourself 2k16 thread!
My traditions changed due to life overseas... one which i love is the tamal... a dish eaten in central america during this season. Each country has a slightly different variation... but the tradition is the same. They are usually made at a pre gathering of the family where everyone pitches in to make them together... and of course have a meal and a few drinks together at the start of the holiday season...
