To be honest, the thing I'm most excited about is the improvement to maps. When they're in an item frame now, they cover the whole block, making it possible to combine several of them into one high-resolution picture: This one is 4x6 maps, or 512x768 pixels. It may take 24 maps to make, but the result is pretty epic by Minecraft standards
