  I started playing "Genshin Impact" at the tail end of August. This is new and unfamiliar territory: Free-to-Play gacha. It is a great and ambitious game that poses unforeseen challenges and personal life complications. **Adequate time management** is more important than ever now.

    played a bit, but abandoned pretty quickly. already played enough games with that kind of trick toolset to force player's retention, and ain't nobody got time for that

    I have no plans to start playing more games with similar business approaches. I can't imagine how stressful it is for some people to keep up with multiple live services games. I don't find playing Genshin alone a huge time commitment to keep up with the most important timegates.

    I'm going to publish one or more in-game books and perhaps an emotional thread too, with external copies viewable outside of EMC's website. The years I actively played on this server network seriously mean a hefty LOAD of GOLD BLOCKS to me. I am not gonna let my history fade into obscurity.

  (I'll try to be short): I don't think I will ever 'truly' return to EMC; I personally no longer need this network. I've moved on to discover new games to enjoy and take the next steps towards to (hopefully) become a successful game developer! The dawn of MC was only the beginning

    I built it off of my own architectural build program, including a block-by-block floor planner, WAY back when EMC updated to 1.7 and the introduction of stained glass.

  A positive update: all art projects were finished and I passed the class. My final project, suprisingly, scored an A+! Its a charcoal drawing of a "Hat in Time" timepiece over my left hand.

    I've also begun messing around in Blender to start actually doing traditional, non-cubic 3D modeling. I'd like to recreate Rosalia's outfit to put on Hat Kid as an unlockable costume.

  I tried to makeup my drawing assignments for a class today, and I cried out of perceived high expectations from my instructor to pass the course. Then I had thoughts of no reason to create anything in life if I can't be the best of the best... A perfectionist's mindset...

  If anyone is wondering what I've doing away from EMC, I have been enjoying non-Minecraft games: "Shovel Knight," "CrossCode," the "Bloons TD" series, "Stardew Valley," and most recently: "A Hat in Time." I am also learning a lot about video game design in general.

    I've played through Terraria multiple times, both Vanilla and modded. -- I like it, but the threat of corruption/crimson destroying the jungle in Hardmode scares me.

    Actually, the new Journey Mode in Terraria 1.4 allows you to turn off hardmode biome spread which makes protecting the jungle a lot more manageable.

  Post-e3 2019, I let the a fandom deteriorate my life... A controversial update to a video game, (Minecraft 1.9 - "The Combat Update"), made me fear change. Now four years later, a controversial video game (Pokemon Sword and Shield) makes me unwilling to live. -- I need help...

    Actually, there is no specific version those changes will be implemented. I am not that worried about what Mojang is doing.
    My real concerns have to do with in the video game industry in general, which escalated this year due to the "Pokemon" franchise.
