Hello Ustengrav. Oooosh. That looks so pretty ^_^ Yay! Drugs! This also looks pretty. Alduin, please shut up and stop reviving this Dragon who I'll kill in 5 minutes anyway... I just got insulted by Alduin ;( Hooray for learning Fus Ro Dah I like fiddling with making oil paintings out of stuff. I seen a Reddit post the other day about Skyrim oil paintings and figured I'd make something like this in Paint.net. The results are as follows:
I came across this dead mage guy surrounded by skeletons. I tried to search him and I picked him up instead. I had completely forgotten that you can do that. So then I just started swinging his body around. I found this dead horse on the side of the road, and I couldn't figure out why it was there. But then a little way up the road, I found a dead Khajiit and turned over wagon. Also, can we just appreciate how strong atronachs are in the early game. And don't you appreciate how much effort I went through to get rid of the compass?
I think I found a new wallpaper. So, this is Thorgaz the Treefeller. I thought it would be fun to make a tank, and I needed someone who I could do the Imperial questline with. (I thought it was against the character of Aethres to choose a side.) He likes big weapons and heavy armor, and he can't do magic. Not being able to use a restoration spell is killing me though. Anyway, I think I'll put this guy on the back burner for now while I work on Aethres, but I may come back to him.
Ra'Shirr sighed, equal parts frustration and regret. Not that Tanita had given him any choice in the matter. He should've known better. Caravan guards did not wear ragged hide armors, but on bandits it was all too common. At least he could give Lajjan some peace of mind when he returned - the note he found folded in Tanita's boot explained why she'd been reluctant to talk about her last caravan. Betrayal was always a hard fact to face. The Khajiit yawned, glancing south. It was late, and he still had much work to do. Built into the cliffside that separated Eastmarch from the Rift, the fortress of Mistwatch was an imposing fortification. The tiered towers and courtyard gave its defenders every opportunity to defend their keep from assault. But Ra'Shirr was not in the habit of taking the direct route. The bandits of Mistwatch were careful, he'd give them that much credit. The highest tower was bolted shut, with heavy iron locks that his frail picks could not shift. For that door at least, he'd need the key. Fortunately, the locks on the rooftop's trap door were less robust. A moment later, he slipped inside and began his bloody work. Lone brigands were simple to deal with. An arrow to the back, a sword across the throat - silent, swift, and deadly. Not all the bandits patrolled alone however, and for these groups, he carried other tools. Careful not to slick his own boots, the Khajiit emptied a flask of oil at the top of the stairs. The viscous fluid seeped around the stones, pooling wide as it followed the crevasses between them and dribbling down the stairs. A moment later, there was a soft crack, like muted thunder, as he laid a Fire Rune atop the puddle. He wrinkled his nose at the scent of charred flesh. Traps like these were effective, but he was less fond of the aftermath. At the base of the tower, two bandits discussed one of their prisoners. Ra'Shirr's ears twitched, listening intently. Ransom. Of course, this makes sense. Who would not pay to see their loved ones back, unharmed? If the bandits' conversation was anything to go by, however, not everyone was returned from their ordeal alive. The prisoner in the cage they watched was one such unfortunate soul. The Khajiit nocked an arrow to his bow. A storm had rolled in from the Rift. Ra'Shirr stifled another yawn as the patter of falling rain reminded him how exhausted he was. Only two more towers to go, and then perhaps he could claim one of the bandits' sleeping rolls for his own, for a spell. It was less than ideal, but better than traversing the wilds for an inn without his wits. Another dragon - S'rendarr's mercy, a simple bear - might be the death of him. And he had promised Rosa he'd be careful. ...Except when he is not.
I did some playing today. All I really did though was run around the wild hunting deer and bandits as a Werewolf, running down the Throat of the World on my horse, and walking alongside mammoths. It was pretty fun
I'm not playing with any mods right now - just playing through with it all nice and fresh. Nice and fresh, like the blood I spill from contracts under the Dark Brotherhood. I do like the Dark Brotherhood... Sneaky stuff
I knew someone like you would show up somewhere... Also; what about the Snow Elves and Falmer (those degenerated Snow Elves who live in the Dwemer cities, if you didn't know already )? From what I can recall about the lore of The Elder Scrolls, they were there before Nords even came into existence About the Dwemer comment; The name Falmer sticks in my head because they freaked me the hell out the first time I ever saw them.
I still need to buy that expansion. And Dragonborn. They both look amazing but I'm waiting for Steam's 2014 Christmas sale to buy them *I said that last year...*
I haven't played Dragonborn, but Dawnguard is tedious and boring, and it stretches on for far too long. It was actually the main reason I stopped playing Skyrim the first time.
Dragonborn is much better, if only because Solstheim is within spitting distance of the smoking ruins of Vvardenfell. But it's also more interesting, not tedious, and has more to offer.
I should be getting the Legendary Edition for the PC soon. I have a few questions: - Are all mods installed the same way?- What are some mods that you recommend?- What's the best way to make an interesting character? For now, I have a Frost Mage Nord with a terrible obsession with Nordic Tombs who I'm playing through the main questline with at the moment. Using a one-handed weapon with a frost spell is probably the most fun build I've had in a while.
There are a lot of mod tutorials out there if you have any trouble, and if you're on nexus mods, then most of them will post directions. The unofficial patches for sure. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/19/? After that, just go crazy and do whatever you find fun. I would suggest at least a lighting pack; those really make a difference.
hopefully i'll be able to play again soon, things have been hectic in my house for the last week. i'll post my shots when i get around to relaxing myself. i love all the updates
There was a dragon attack at the College of Winterhold. I thought that it would be really cool to see all the mages fight the dragon. But everyone just stood with their arms crossed and watched me fight it.
