smp7 - jungle outpost

  1. Problem is, there is a large complex underneath the graveyard, so it's going to be a delicate operation to make sure you don't hit that.
  2. What's wrong with walking a few blocks?

  4. I'll be sure (I can always re-route it if it's too hard and/or inefficient).
But honestly, what's the point in having a switchover if it can be merged easily? also, hunger gets used up pretty easily as of 1.7.4

I know but what exactly is wrong with improvement?

  5. But thats the thing, it will be a delicate process due to the graveyard being there.

  6. i am well aware of that, and trust me, the graveyard will be like it is now

  7. What was the point of including the asterix there? (It just makes you more suspicious)
  8. It's gone (It was a Typo)

  9. So, I'd like to revive Gangnam, L0tad's old district that caused all the arguments. Except, it's not going to be the same name and in the same location as the old one. It won't have as harsh terms as the last one, but I would like you to PM me if you want to build something there so I can keep track of everything.

  10. It seems as if some people (that aren't active of the forums) are very protective of LLO.... When they're new. It's quite annoying, especially when I'm trying to build, and someone is standing over my shoulder watching.

  11. What's the point of adding a town, where you have to have someone's permission? That's not what LLO is about. We're a community.

  12. Yes, but the "Gangnam District" is quite a sore subject. Problem was, L0tad wanted to take down certain buildings (of others), blatantly posted in this thread he was gonna do that, and the hate-war erupted.

  13. Ah. I know that "hate war," as I was as active as ever then... So, I don't see why he would be trying to "revive" the "Gangnam District"..... Now that I think about it, hasn't L0tad stopped playing EMC?

  14. Well, apparantely, Hydro just wants to build the "Gangnam District", however, he wants feedback on his plan to do so. If too many players say no, (well, he would feel a bit hurt, but nothing too major) he would not do it. (note: worst case scenario).
If you wanted to build something massive, wouldn't the others want to know that you are going to build that massive something?

  15. I honestly don't care who builds what where, just as long as they follow the few simple 'rules' (more like guidelines) that have been established since the beginning...

Don't change other people's constructions without their permission.
Give a reasonable distance between your stuff and others'. Sometimes that's 3 blocks, sometimes more depending on the situation.
If you are going to build in a bigger area that borders a neighbor, make a clear outline with dirt blocks or torches and SIGNS so others know what's going on. Posting to the forums also helps a great deal.

Granted, these guidelines will be 'broken' from time to time (I'm not a big fan of that ugly half-sphere next to Philo tower that, I forget who, built without my permission on a spot I did have future plans for), but since I didn't have the land clearly labeled, I let it go and didn't make a stink out of it. I would still love to see that ugly thing come down, but only the builder has the right to do that; all I can do is ask. I do admit breaking a rule myself. Someone improved the underground ravine just east of Philo Tower and brought their entrance up in the middle of the sidewalk, so I created a side tunnel and access shack just down the 'street' so they could still get in/out (IF they ever show up again) and removed the offending entrance. This is also why, when I came to the LLO, I started building Philo Tower at least 50 blocks (probably more) away from ANYTHING else, so I wouldn't have to face someone accusing my of overstepping my bounds.
Just like any real world construction, we do have to work together and come to some sort of compromise, otherwise people will just leave and not come back after laying down some monstrosity in the middle of everything.

P.S. It was good to see Bilbo and Cchiarell last night. I very rarely see people in the LLO when I'm on anymore. ;D
  16. No, I just moved the project to the smp9 wild, and it became the NR, when 72 volt join the team. Look where that went :)

No offence, but that is one of the worst ideas i have ever heard m8, just stop now before it gets worse.

P.S. Could you PM your tower's coordinates to me? Thanks, :)
