Some people at work play Magic, but Heroclix seems to be all the rage there. I imagine, if I were to get into any tabletop games, it'd be MTG
I played that when I was younger, I would rock a white deck constantly or a white mixed with red. I miss playing but now I play munchkin or cards against humanity... or actual dnd.. Magic will always have a place in my heart though x)
I actually just started playing this a couples of months ago because my high school had MTG Tournaments. So I got a blue and red deck, and started battling my friends. It's lots of fun. I'm currently the #3 best player in my school. I've never played Hearthstone before, but I've heard it's pretty good.
Like you I started playing MTG through school - pretty much stealing spare decks off friends and learning as I played Hearthstone has the same aspects of Magic with different things mixed in here and there to make it a pretty awesome game. I've only recently gotten back into it, been busy with the real world... As for tournaments I actually attended my first one today XD Was a Sealed Two Headed Giant type, and was actually really really fun! Never played outside my social group, so meeting new players and building a new deck from scratch for the games was really awesome
I actually built my own deck from my dad's old cards. I've modified it a lot along the way, to the point where half the cards in it aren't the same as before. (When I first made it I just took all the red and blue cards with the coolest pictures ) I think my most OP card is in my green deck. It's a 7/2, but whenever you kill it, it comes back to the battlefield untapped. Once I play it down, it's usually out for good. The only exception I've seen is this one instant my friend played on it once that took it out of the game permanently.
That's really cool! My first deck was given to me last year for my birthday, and it was pretty much all the Green and Red cards no one else in my social group wanted + some random nice ones I'm really not sure what my most OP card is, I'll have to go digging through everything. I've been dismantling all my decks so I can make a strong commander deck (It'll end up being Green Red Blue), and then rebuild consecutive decks for normal play. Having said that, I do have a pretty Chandra which I love <3
imy deck wasfirst at sleepaway camp when i was like 7 xD i love magic but my 4 best decks where stolen and all my plainswalkers so i kinda was discouraged to play again
One of my favorite games to pass the time with. My friend back in Thailand had a "Life Gain" Deck. You would never beat him...
My partner in the Two Headed Giant tournament said this: "At tournaments you've got to be worried about the people who've been playing for 7 years, and the 7 year olds" XD It sucks when people steal decks, I can see why youre discouraged not to play, but it is something you should totally get back into :3 Life gain decks can be annoying as hell sometimes! I need to build a better one with more creatures with lifelink
plus theres no one near me who plays xD but man i had the sweetest life gain token deck white angel human and a blue black zombie deck with a op zombie that makes you discard x amount of your deck and a green red hydra stomp deck with hydras up to like 100x100 and wasmaking a green black death deck woth vraska the unseen and her ability if this token deas damage to a player that player loses the game
Forest, swamp, spore elf hybrid deck. During a tourneyment I got out 50 monsters including tokens. I was like bam, I do 270 raw damage
i was playing someone once and they had a devour dek and got a card u to 500 500 xD but i still beat hime a few turns later without defending once i was using an artifact deck
Awesome dude! I was impressed with my 20 odd tokens I got out this morning... I would have kept going but I was running out of time :/ You see, with something like that you just use a Reprisal: "Destroy target creature with power 4 or greater. It can't be regenerated"
