  1. Well, I've heard about Shavingfoam in-game, and how he cleans your face. Thats cool!
  2. Is the claimed land a 3,000 block radius or a 3,000 block diameter?

  3. Bumping this thread so members can see this thread and know correct way to do it.

  4. I think since each outpost (center) must be at least 3000 from each other, I would think people have 1500 in all directions absolutely dedicated....am I right ?
  5. No. It is not a system where you claim everything within a 1500 block radius, it is just the 3000 block distance to make sure that there are absolutely no issues with land disputes. :)
  6. If no one can build within 3000 blocks of your base wouldn't it be a 3k radius not 1500?

Also, meluseath is right. If you can build within that radius and no one else can, you own it.
  7. Your center >> 1500 east + 1500 west = 3000.... same thing north and south direction
because if other people can build the center of their own 3000 blocks, 3000 blocks from your center... you split in the middle at the 1500 mark in that direction... That's the way I understand it...
  8. radius not diameter meluseath
  9. well if it's radius, your 3000 blocks will go in conflict with the 3000 of your neighbors.....
  10. no it wont, but your center of claimed land will be moved 3k in the opposite direction imagine a wall surrounding you at 3k you can build on the edge of that wall and no further if you establish right on the edge he can still build out 3k from his center

  11. hmm is that a fact ? (Bigger empire...muahahahaha)
  12. I have a general question. I started building my outpost before this thread... And now it's very built up, and basically a city, but it's too close, so.. I'm not sure what to do...
  13. you cry

  14. Can I keep it as an un-established base?

  17. Okay, so I found this island in the Wilderness that I really liked the look of, and I've already spent several hours terraforming (flattening) and planning/building, but before I really start to put in all the buildings I want to make, I thought I should see if I could claim it so I actually have some kind of jurisdiction over it in case people find it, because I want to be able to choose if they can build here, etc., in an official capacity. (Run-on sentence; sorry...) I didn't go way out into the blackness because I spotted the perfect island in already-loaded chunks on the livemap and I didn't think I would find anything as good by chance in new chunks. Unfortunately, I realized on the map that there is a small town about 1k blocks away, albeit abandoned for probably a while. I'm not entirely sure if this prevents me from "claiming" my island, as it's not an active colony, but I wanted to ask, to be sure. The thing is, my island is only about 200x200 blocks in size, and I really have no intention of building on the surrounding landmasses, and I certainly wouldn't disrupt that other town. I just want to live like a hermit on my nice little island and at the same time have the legal authority to tell people not to mess with my stuff. So, what um... what do I do? :p

  18. are you the one messing around on that island on smp6? if so that colony is not abandoned
  19. No, it's on smp8. And what d'you mean, "messing around"?
  20. meaning they have a nether portal there and are making dirt shacks in the nether in an area i have slabbed and claimed
