  1. It's not OP because of the griefing potential, it is essentially spawning items in and would ruin the price of lava.

  2. OK, true.. Fine. In my opinion Blackdown10 had a good idea. How about we keep it with just an inf water bucket? :D

  3. yea true, it would ruin the lava price, so lets keep it inf water... this is a promo item what people will use and want to have, better than this easter promo now a days, people just keep it cause it is a collectable, lots of people will never use it, so useless item/promo...

  4. The difficulty setting does not control spawning.

It controls player <-> mob interaction.

So for example, 2 players are in identical armor and sword with damage 5.

Diff 10 player hits the zombie and does like 5% damage, zombie hits the player for like 20% damage.

Then the other player is on difficulty 1 and hits the zombie for 90% damage, then the mob hits the difficulty 1 player for 5% damage.

Then the difficulty 10 player hits the mob for the last 5% and kills it.

The math will scale the monsters 'effective' difficulty down based on what level of damage was done by the players dificulty, so it will average out to a 4.75 difficulty.

Say the level 10 does 4 hits at 5% and the level 1 does 1 hit for 80%, the difficulty is 5.6.

5 is the basis for 'normal' play, so as you see it will require a majority of the players to be on the highest to get the highest loot scales, and it would require EVERYONE being on 10 to ever have a chance at 10.

The system is also smart enough to detect players changing difficulty, and the change doesn't go into effect until the player has not had combat for 5 minutes.

  5. CREATIVE MODE???
    That seems REALLY unfair.

  6. That would cause problems for Normal Item Transport...
    (N.I.T)

  7. Wait.
If 2 people you were talking about (Level 1 and 10) were to buddy up, and they meet a boss or something...
Couldn't the level 1 guy lower the health and the level 10 goes in for the final blow?

  8. Yep, but the final hit would be pretty insignificant as far as the averaging would go since it's only one hit.

  9. Just reread. I get it now.

  10. It averages it though, not just counting the final hit

  11. Not sure if this has been said on this thread, but it has been said elsewhere. I'd love to have some creativity/media forum. I'm what you'd call a "hobbyist" script/screen writer and it'd be cool to have a dedicated forum for me and others to share things that we've created. Just an idea.

  12. Max was working on adding that last night - but I must of dragged her away. We will be adding it very soon.
  13. I think more residence contest would be great, I've finally got mine to a competition worthy state.

  14. Well emc isnt a creative build server and i dont believe we will get a world like that. I would say look abroad if that is what you want

  15. That would be nice. A real challenge to build. Maybe hire a builder team for it. I know Clonotron is good with castles.

  16. A backpack... before anyone screams 'OMG SURVIVAL YOU CANT DO THAT'.. listen to how it SHOULD be done.

A special chestplate.. can be craftable or whatever...

you have to have the chestplate on to access the 'backpack' inventory. It is specific per player per server. So it will not function like a vault or anything. What I think would be a cool feature about it, is you could limit it to even 9 slots (1 row) and then even if you die.. your backback inventory is still saved. Just like a little contingency. Then once you equip a 'backpack' chestplate again, you can access the backpack inventory.

If you wanted to be REALLY clever, you could make each inventory of each backpack unique, meaning I would lose those items if I die, or they are with the backpack.. BUT, you could trade backpacks with people and what not.. either way would be cool, but a backpack that is limited like 1 per player per server, would probably mean less storage resources used than a dynamic system where every backpack has its own tied inventory.

    EDIT::

After thinking about it a little more.. if a person were to put things in their backback with option 1.. they could just die.. and get another backpack in town.. even if you made the backpack a super expensive resource... as long as the value of the contents was worth it, it is still game break-y.. so maybe even with option 1, upon death.. the inventory of the backpack is wiped or something...
  17. If we did your second idea, we would have to block backpacks from mail, and backpacks.

  18. haha.. backpackception...

  19. Since when? I only knew they had fly
Edit: I just re-read your post. Nvm I get it now.

I don't think this is fair. Nobody but senior staff+ should have creative. Diamond already have fly in town while everyone else has to use ladders and dirt pillars. Everyone should have to make the effort to collect the resources for their reses, whether they are 120x120 or 60x60
    607 and Equinox_Boss like this.
  20. That just seems really unfair for everyone considering then, all Diamond supporters would then build huge mega malls with free supplies and stock it for free, yet everyone else has to work hard to find supplies and build their mall up and then keep it stocked. It would be taking away from those people who actually work to get money.

-What do you want to see on the Forums?

What I would really like to see is a Calendar of some kind on the homepage that mods can list their events on and the time. Like the EMC games calendars are set up, i find it easy to read and keep up with since i can set it as my computer background or print it out. Also it makes it so much easier to see events and look them up instead of searching through 20 forum post to figure out when an event starts and stuff. Also Im usually on the computer just not always on EMC so a Calendar i can open up on my ipod or computer real fast would help me make plans to go to events.
