smp7 - jungle outpost

  1. Hmm that's a possibility. The collision box for glass panes is smaller, that might have something to do with it.

True, but there are more places to stop along the Curry Line. People have built doorways to their homes, so there are reasons to stop midway. The Red and Cyan lines don't have any doorways like that.

  2. I just tried it out and I agree that has to be one of the more annoying bugs and almost good justification for griefing the glass.

Another annoying thing is that it doesn't depend on the direction you are travelling but the rail you are on which I guess is the old east-west rule. So we can't solve it by swapping line directions.

It's a pain to change the existing lines and I'll leave cyan as it is because as you say it's direct. Perhaps the residents using the curry line can band together and expand it sideways. Not as time-consuming as when we built the original since it's just one more layer either side and the glass panes allow you to breath when standing beside them.

  4. Sure it's really just a virtual line at the moment since not much has been done on it. I'm pushing the start of the line forward at the GC. It should be clear to see but if in doubt line it up with the curry line.

Let me know how deep you're going under my house. I've built down quite far so you may need to go deep but there are plenty of caves there that should reduce the amount of digging.

  5. Deep layer is gonna be 48 44. Is it ok?

  6. Unfortunately my vault is at that level but just below should be ok. The easiest thing would be to let me know the z coord and we can try and find a path through.

The main problem at the moment is griefers flooding my cellar with lava so that could make the area a bit dangerous.

  7. I just edited the post.
  8. I might return sometime in December! I might be remaking my house. Penfoldex will still be in charge of the LLOlympics until further notice.
  9. What about extending the Cyan Line instead? It could avoid Rune's place by going south a bit, then going east.

  10. Like this?

Wouldn't this be better? (Deep layer 44)

  11. If looking for a mid-stop station going look on my obsidian line the one I made works pretty well

  12. We decided to make all the lines from GC one-stop only so an extension wouldn't be possible. However you could start a new line from the white harbour. Beamer's reed rooms under the harbour have been seriously griefed so you could run it there.

Also the brown line ends up near the obsidian line so you could use that as an jumping off point for a new line. I've got some spare land that I haven't been able to use because roblikescake built on it and that could be used for a line around my house.

And if you don't have thousands of blocks of glass and lots of time for building underwater there's still the option to use the natural tunnels under my house to speed up the job.

  14. I've been unwatched from the thread again:mad::confused:
No clue why it does this

  15. Looks good.

That areas turning into a bit of a hub. Maybe we need to knock down the tree farm and replace it with another station.

  16. Yeah, I think this was a poor choice. You never see this with RL rail systems. Santiago Chile had such an arrangement with their buses (giant single central station), and they realized decades to late that it is a system that doesn't scale well. It has the same logistical problems that you find in other systems:

  18. Thanks to donations from Watk and CC7, museum construction has begun again ahead of schedule.

  19. The tunnel for the White Line Extension is complete. I used jack o lanterns to light up the tunnel. I need to get more pine planks to finish the design. Then, all that needs to be done is lay down the rails. Thanks to new member blackstaf for the white wool.

  20. I was thinking it be easier to start at existing line so you don't have to go as far, whatever works.
