Quick Chess Board

Saw a YouTube short today. Decided to build it up real quick like. This is what I got. Nothing to really WOW about. Just thought it was a cool idea to make. I use to play chess a lot.

Why is there a button and slime block near the board?

To get up to where the screenshot was taken for a good overview of the board, I think.

You did well! What did you use? Concrete powder? Wool?

The chessboard is walled in. You stand on the slime block and press the button to get out of the chess area.

Thank you. I used concrete powder. I like the texture of the powder vs the concrete block for this build. Where I set it up though is not gonna be it's permanent spot.

Thank you. The balcony was not just for a screenshot or the soul way of getting out of the chess area. When I play chess I like to look over the board to develop my strategy and think moves ahead of time. It's hard to do that standing at board level. I'm not Hermine or Ron, I can't play Wizard's Chess while on the board.

So I was right! I had to think about it.

I've been playing a lot of chess in chess.com lately. Want to get back into it since I was for several years in the club of my middleschool/highschool

There are player heads in the form of chess pieces, I believe. Those might be useful here. Not sure if anyone has a set.

There might also be maps, though maps would need a white and black version to match the squares.

heads would be a very nice way to polish up the look!

Yipes! That would be a pricey set. I'd like to see your chess board with the heads someday soon though.
