Sooo, another idea about attract/draw more players! and we need to know tatic of these players we need to holding aspect which can affect your new players source and offer them nice treat! also these new rank would help to keep emc new fresh air, and can cope with new updates. Beside regular rank like moderator, community manager, lead developer, developer, build team, contributior, wiki researcher, senior staff. And i would like to introduce Youtuber, Community moderator, Customer support, Game supporter Site developer. Legend: Youtuber: This rank is for youtuber, it have everything diamond supporter has. You need to ensure you're youtuber (real ones) then you can applies these. You will need to opt-in youtuber rank requiments: 200 subscribers, played mc before and have few emc related videos Community moderator: Lower rank of community manager, still act like moderator but have higher perms, like able to approve staff app and controversal opt-in.... (Community manager have perms to montior community moderator and can remove staff perms if found abuse) beside montior forums they can montior through discord channel daily Site developer: A developer, but responsible for maintain site and keep site working/adding new features and responsible for updates Game supporter: They're helper and they will act as helper to help new players/those who need and can lock this thread if nesseary. These ppl are willing to online most in a day and ready to hear what you speak to them. Customer support: Support for customer-related issues, like responsible for server payment as well as supporter/item payments. Also they can lock thread, like a mod do. If you're wondering, how about old rank would go? Aikar: he would focus on maintaining business Lead developer: Still have same perm, but mostly managing/check issues/ montior developer made Community manager: would focus on managing lower rank, like ss and community moderator and they will remove perms for any abusive staff Senior staff: Mostly montior through games, and deal with players issues Developers: they would be focusing on adding new item/updates in games Moderators: Focusing on common issues about player, like inapporiate chat. I'm thinking after decent of feedback and rennovation requests i would be put into most controversal person XD
5 customer support is aikar 4 thats what normal players try to do they try and help with non mod things 3 that one i can get behind 2 thats essentially SS 1 gets messy and people demand the role cause they have 10 subscribers sorry -1 the only one i can get behind is 3 for site manager
The youtuber is a maybe, you can't just randomly join, have never played minecraft before, and get the rank. I feel like with the youtuber rank, you have to do a few EMC videos before getting the rank, and you have to consistently do EMC videos to keep the rank. Also you would have to have a minimum of like 500 subs or something and have an average of a couple thousand views per week.
*meet... JOKING JOKING but yes those are some of the minimum requirements on other servers, just lowered due to EMC not exactly being a hot topic on youtube...
simple? these youtubers will not draw into emc unless there's something offer to them. if they treat same as regular player they would rather play other server which have offer for them
Wouldn't we want players that WANT to be here over being here just because they get something out of it? If not having a rank sends them to another server, I wouldn't want to play alongside them anyway.
okay? ur oponions. tbh, these youtubers are aspect affect most about how ppl want to join emc or not. tons of big server has successful by support youtubers and they got popularity. and how about these ppl want to be here without rank?, if they dedicate, that's ok. but some of them are left due too bored. Some of them still keep up with emc. They arent promote player number since if they ads they doesnt help spread more player (gain very few number), And remember, youtuber declare everything. It's modern era and media play a improtant roles. The popular streamer, hoeever tons of ppl are watching it. And how about emc make themself? Gain far less than youtubers. What make youtuber draw into it? spronsorship and content. They make content, and immverse ads on background, then we got new ppl. That's a deal. win-win situtaion. We will countine to make game content, while we still expanding staff system as well as event like lowballing.
I think what he's getting at is if they get a certain rank all of a sudden, then they'll say "ill stay for a bit just to see how I like it" rather then quiting after seeing the tutorial. More than 82% (of the data pool I collected) of people that join, leave after seeing the tutorial
agreed. tutorial is another barricade for emc. 82% ppl will quit when see tutorial 13% ppl will not quit after complete tutorial, but they eventually left emc after a couple of week playing and never comeback (or they just login and disconnect to prevent derleict) 5% is dedicated, and active peeps. no idea but they're create mess stuff and cause new ppl would not want to play

sefl and other ppl are like small streamer, and most of viewer/follower are from emc players, very little is non-emc player
