Hi, it's me again! Someone just let me know that tomorrow 1.19 will be introduced at Minecraft Live. Is anyone going to watch? I don't know when it is, I might watch if it's at a suitable time. I think I saw that there will be another mob vote as well?
XendorDawnburst and I will be doing a reaction stream. There is another mob vote: https://youtu.be/s58orudNZ94 Here is Xandor's pre-stream video: https://youtu.be/PRh1kjU87Ek I'm still waiting for an update with frogs!
Indeed, I was surprised that nobody had made a thread about it yet! Thanks! THEY'RE ADDING FROGS Edit: I opened the stream and that's the first thing they said. This actually looks really fun, I'm going to watch more of the stream! Edit 2: Turns out it was already the end of it... that's fine, I got to see the most exciting part, I guess. I'm currently watching the reaction stream Moople linked, but I wasn't yet when the frogs were announced, so I'm going to rewind for a bit.
My face when we get FROGS!!!!!!!!!!!!: AAAAAAA FROGS FROGS FROGS FROGS YESSSS AAAA!!!!!!!! I'M A VERY HAPPY MOOPLE YES YES YES YES YES YES YES!!! RIBBIT!! BOING BOING BOING! The stream was here: https://youtu.be/df7HhwuX3gk
Here is a short highlight video for the Minecraft Live news. It mostly includes information about 1.19, but also has some other interesting bits...
An experimental snapshot has been released! This means that it isn't available in the launcher and that you can't do bug reports for it. However, you can try out the first release of the deep dark, complete with skulk blocks and the warden! Personally, I'd say the warden is a bit too scary, considering that younger players play the game too.
Three 1.19 snapshots have been released! Lots of content is available! Why is nobody talking about this? Lack of time?
For me, 1.18 brought so much new stuff to explore I am still busy taking it all in. I'm in no rush to get to 1.19. Especially is the Warden is going to be waiting for me in caves.
I like the idea of the froglights. How do you get a frog to get to a magma cube, though? Frogs only spawn in the overworld, and magma cubes only in the Nether, right? Do you need to use a Nether portal? I wouldn't mind, sounds cool.
On EMC, you would have to egg a frog and take it to the nether. As far as I know (unless something has changed) entities can't go through portals on EMC.
You can now craft recovery compasses with items that can be found in chests, combining with a compass. They point to the location of your last death. Cool! I used to have the debug menu on most of the time, in case I'd die in a place that could be hard to find back...
Can you imagine the chaos that can be caused by purposly making the sculk blocks spread nonstop? good lord
