The SNE has realized their lack of oil and decide to make a risky move... Go to Romania and sieze their oil. This involves around 20,000 troops traveling to Romania over seas. This isn't an invasion to take over, just a raid for oil.(This also isn't a declaration of war) Also, in a hope to restore the navy of The UK, ships (mainly class Bismarck and Admiral classes) They are having heavy modification. This is a long and extensive process to modify each ship. And will take close to 2 years. Citizens in the SNE, primarily the UK and Germany, are now required to either have soldiers living in/near their house or guns on ready to protect themselves, or protect the town which they live in from attacks. All gun types, auto or semi-auto, are legal during war times, regardless of the laws saying otherwise
The Caliphate, being a money leech themselves, taxes SNE ships moving through Turkey's strait, toll rates are always higher on military ships, but since the SNE is more than likely going to transport oil via the sea, the Caliphate is going to tax their oil. Bulgaria and the Caliphate have established a stable relationship, Bulgaria trades agriculture goods for the Caliphate, while the Caliphate gives lots of oil in return, as such, Bulgaria has seen massive growth. Oil fields are starting to be worked on the Kuwait provinces, and the Emirates, day by day the Sunayyad Empire is getting richer and richer with their oil, the Emirates and the Persian Gulf Arabian states are gaining infrastructure, they are improving their roads and cities at fast rates.
SEU and India's relationship is starting to collapse. SEU, being quite alarmed at the prospect of being invaded has throttled funding to the Navy and Air Force to reinforce its army. This will delay most projects, but the Army will be strengthened and will be able to fend off any potential Indian attack. The Navy has taken the biggest hit; the Air Force has been relatively minor. All these improvements have taken away from the redistribution of wealth, and SEU is temporarily delaying construction of its big statues and park to make more money. While the economy is growing at a fast rate thanks to a powerful consumer base, SEU's tax collection falls short of total efficiency.
SEU has sent thousands to Gulags in what is the largest corruption purge yet. Iosif Stalin approved of this purge, stating that it is good for the country that such corruption be exterminated. The Gulags are labor camps for mostly corrupt officials, as well as certain evil individuals. The Tax system is being streamlined. 10 posts. Fun Fact: SEU's Battleship Gun Caliber is technically 17.99 inches, due to it being a precise 457mm. The 16-inchers are technically 15.98 inches, due to it being 406mm.
Fighting still continues in the Sunayyad Empire, the three main factions, the Islamic Republicists, Mejmue Jihadists and Sunayyad Regimists still fight, both each other and the Sultan. Faction Map Key: Black - Islamic Republicists Green - Sunayyad Regimists Red - Sultan's Army Grey - Majmue Jihadists Blue - Independists Gold - Neutral Every week each group shows their uglier side, and all have protested in their owns ways. The Independists are the most peaceful, they organize worker strikes and demand Independence, although their groups are quite small, the majority of their countries are basically just regular people who wish to get through their lives, although Palestine has a bigger uprising, wanting to bring back Israel. The Islamic Republicists organize their own worker strikes and cause mass riots and protests, they demand an Islamic state without a monarchy or autocratic power, along with them a Sunni-Shia and Persian-Arab divide has started, both sides give each other verbal hellfire. The Sunayyad Regimists, the biggest and most popular faction organize their own militant groups, made up of veterans, police and regular men with training, they are less trained than the Sultan's Army, and much less equipped, although due to their private access of oil they have gained some small fundings, they participate in weapons trade, getting a hold of M1 Sahkra's, although most of their arsenal is M1903 Mausers. They create hit and runs, pillages and convoy attacks, attempting to overrun the Sultan. The Sultan's Army has gained majority control over Iraq, which has now started to eradicate opposition, as all villages are thoroughly checked, any signs of resistance activities means a quick execution of some village people, the Sultan is incredibly cruel, he kills his own people without thinking twice. The Majmue Jihadists are above all the worst, multiple ethnic killings have occurred, Jews, Christians, and Non-Arab Muslims and Shia Muslims have been killed. Tribal villages are forced to convert or be slaughtered, and Yemen's capital falls into their hands. Their force conversions have led to everyone to hate them. They have even begun killing Indians and Western Asians, Yemen's Indian and Asian populations were low beforehand, but in spite of the Socialists, regardless of who they are any Western Asian and Indian is brutally killed, especially any white person.
The Indians have responded by launching another war against their enemies. However. their pathetic naval capability means their invasion is doomed before it starts. SEU officially endorses the Republicists, and the Indians the legitimate Caliph who fled. Due to India wasting their resources on pointless attacks, SEU has gained ground in their war and is sending naval aid to the Republcists, with their powerful Navy effortlessly defeating their enemies. India, on the other hand is trying to push through Pakistan to attack the Islamic Republicists. India is not having much success.
SEU has attacked the Majmue Jihadists via Naval Power. SEU is ticked off that they are attacking Asians, and has decided to put them in their place. Meanwhile, SEU really really wants the legitimate Caliph to never come back, and has launched multiple search parties to find and detain him. India however is one step ahead. They found the Caliph, in a desert somewhere. The actual, descendent of Muhammad, Caliph. The Founder of the Sunayyad Caliphate. I mean, SEU's founder is still missing; he's definitely in Korea somewhere, in the mountainside. They are willing to lend him an Army, should he agree to certain terms. This would effectively turn him into an Indian puppet, and he is unlikely to agree.
What happened to the Founding Four? Marx: Died years ago. Sun-Yat Sen: Undergoing treatment for Gallbladder-Liver Cancer at one of the best Private Hospitals in the SEU; Sun is not rich, but he has a pension and free healthcare for the rest of his life. He is expected to survive for another 5-10 years. William Baker: Alive and well, makes living by writing books on Socialism. Most publicly active of Founding Four, and often conducts interviews with children, thanks to his relative youth at just 37. The Founder: Missing, and believed to be living in the mountains of Korea. May or may not be alive, last known activity berating SEU and India to little effect. The cult of personality around these for are inversely proportional to activity. India has only 1 founding father, and they often compete to elevate them. SEU is trying to make sure the Caliph never takes the throne, to little effect. The Caliph coming back has resulted in the Sunayyad Regimists having a man to rally around, and SEU is unable to stop them. India and the Regimists are having significant disagreements over the Caliph's future.
The Islamic Republicists have no clue on what to do with SEU aid, there are very little militant groups in the faction, and even then they are interested in taking over Tehran and establishing their own Republic. They are more interested in taking leaps to democratically take down the Sultan and create the Sunayyad Republic, they do appreciate the SEU defending them from India, and wishes for India to be put down. The SEU attacks on the Majmue Jihadists were pretty much a fail, the Majmue holds very little naval power, and when they saw the SEU coming, they just walked away from the coastlines, considering the SEU never put boots on the shores, they aimlessly fired at Somalian and Yemen homes along the coast. The Majmue isn't a traditional army, they are a lot more Guerilla. The Ethiopian Empire who has holds on Somalia has been fighting the Majmue, with some prevail, the Ethiopian Empire also supports the Caliph, as such they have supplied the Caliph's army with heavy support, Ethiopia has also gained a very strong military over the past decade, meaning they were able to one-up India by blockading Djibouti and forcing them to be escorted. The Sunayyad Regimists thank India, then kindly tell them to buzz off, effectively angering the Indians and closing them out of any deal of keeping the Caliph's power. The Caliph is now in Mecca where he gathers an army to take over the Sultan. The army is quite powerful, nearly 100,000 men, little air support, but full control of the Red Sea. Bits of the Sultans Army in Pakistan defend against India, embarrassingly pushing them back. The Sultan goes on the search for the Caliph, sending an army of 90,000 for his arrest and demise.
The first battle has started between the Sultan and the Caliph in Medina. The Sultans army of 90,000 men, march their way to the Caliph, they ride on horseback and with armoured vehicles. The Caliph stands in the Mosque at Medina, the very mosque that Prophet Muhammed built in 622 AD. He and his entire army bow down to Allah, directed to Mecca at the splendour between the white walls of the Mosque. After their prayer is complete, the Caliph gives his final speech before they prepare a full out frontline war with the Sultan's Army. At that final speech, he raises his sword, looks towards the sun, and declares "ALLAH AKBAR" (God is great) They create heavily lines of defences around Medina, creating barricades and posts on top of the mountains, hiding in the rocks. At the front lie the most insane force of all, the Calvary, Caliph's led men on horseback, all dressed in white, they raise thy own swords, and keep their rifles at their hips and charge, the Sultans army is caught off guard, they attempt to fire back with machine guns, somewhat to a success, mowing down a chunk of the 1,000 attacking men, but they are overwhelmed, their vision is filled with smoke, as the Caliphs army deploys hundreds of smoke grenades. The Calvary dice up the ground forces, impaling them with swords and slicing their necks, they also grab onto their rifles and shoot into the enemy ranks, once their clip has been fired, they retreat, leaving the Sultan's army a confused mess. The battle then commences, both sides fire from all directions, it isn't in one spot, the entire battlefield ranges for miles, they fight in trench methods, except they have no trenches, they use the natural terrain of Saudi Arabia for cover. A literal day commences, the fighting never stops, both sides hurling fire after the next, artillery is used, the Sultan uses superior air support, but they are gunned down by AA guns and do little. Eventually, though, the Sultans army gains the upper hand, due to their logistical advantage, they have much more ammo and supplies than the Caliphs army, eventually forcing the Caliph and his men to retreat, allowing the Sultan to take over Medina. The battle is not at full loss though, due to Arabia not being the only region in full support of the Caliph, Egypt and Syria both join in arms to defeat the Sultans army, Syria attacks the borders of Iraq with the Kurds, while Egypt sends men to back up the Caliph via the Red Sea. The end result is over 50,000 men dead, the Caliph suffered the most, but it was a slight victory. Even though the Sultan gained control of Medina and took down a ton of the Caliph's men, their goal of capturing the Caliph was a fail, and now the news of the Caliphs army has spread like wildfire, every corner of the Sunayyad Caliphate is bound to know of this, and they soon receive propaganda news. The Caliph along with Egyptian soldiers organize their ranks in Mecca, they plan on taking Medina in the night and then make their way to Baghdad where they will take back the throne. Although the Caliph hates India, they promise India a little gift once Caliph is king.
The Baghdad Revolution: With the Caliph, his army and the backing of Egyptian and Syrian forces, they march their way to Baghdad to seize the throne from the Sultan. Over the past few months, Baghdad's own revolution has grown, workers, farmers, craftsmen and everyone who opposes the Sultan, even his own men protested and rioted in the streets of Baghdad, they went on worker strikes, eventually pausing the economy of Baghdad and throwing it into turmoil. The Sultan, even though he attempted to quell the protests by opting for peace, gave up and fired upon the crowds. Now, the entire Empire is up at arms against him, his blasphemy towards Islam, his devout scholars in Black Magic and his cruelty to his own people has caused hundreds of resistance groups, most armed to the teeth, eventually splitting Baghdad into half. The Sultan's own troops waver, many turn ill to the fact that they are forced to kill innocent people, and thus some quit and eventually join the resistance, creating a fall for the Sultan. Now that his army has fallen, the Caliph's Army and his allies, amounting to 260,500 men, splinter into the demoralized troops of Sultans army, eventually stepping foot in Baghdad. The Caliph himself, dressed in white along with his Royal Calvary rode on a white horse onto the steps of the Sultan's Palace, where an immense bloodbath occurred. Over 2,000 dead and 6,000 injured as the Sultan's Royal Army, the most loyal to him, numbered at 8,000, create a ring around the Palace and erupt gunfire into the crowds, smoke filled the air, and for an abrupt 10 minutes which felt like 10 hours, the fighting finally stopped, once the smoke cleared a massive pile of 2,000 dead bodies filled the streets and gardens around the Palace. One scholar writes that you could literally not see the Palace grounds, as they were once white with a grand design and polished, now they were caked in blood red, with thousands of bodies everywhere. Sultan Abiwa was confiscated, he was sent to the centre of the city, where 15,000 people stood and watched, silently, as he was stood upon the podium, the Caliph came to him, thanked the people, and declared an end to the fighting, a prayer to Allah, condemning remarks to the Sultan, another prayer, and then finally, the execution. Lined up in rows, all loyalists to the Sultan, government officials, servants, his guards and anyone who decided to side with him were all stoned to death. Sultan Abiwa was then tied up and placed into the middle of the crowds, where they beat him, spat on him and threw jagged rocks at him, then, by the glory of Allah, the Caliph rose his sword, and beheaded the half dead Sultan with his own sword and then placing his head upon a spike. The Caliph is now in power, he sits on the throne again, but his age has shown, he must do some things before its too late.
As the Caliph sits on his throne again, many things must be done. The Sunayyad Regimists are happy, however, the Republicists and the Independists are not. Constant tension is shown between the Shia's and the Sunnis, the Arabs and Persians, Jews and Arabs, and Turks and Arabs. The Caliph realizes that visiting those countries and speaking peace works no more, everyone is tired of it. Here's what the Caliph proposes Provinces and their rule are being changed, this means "nations" like Lebanon, Trans-Jordan, Palestine no longer exist. Neither does any other nation, no longer is it to be called Iraq, the only instances in which these regions are identified internationally is by their previous names of course, but as it speaks, there is no more border, everything is apart of the Sunayyad Caliphate. This brings new challenges, but new hope, hope that no longer must people be forced to unite via borders, tribes and ethnic peoples are no longer split and disarranged (like the Kurds) The problem is governing these areas, how must it be done? That is the question. Instead of Provinces, the place will be known by their region names, such as Arabia, Persia, Mesopotamia, and Anatolia. Creation of Muhafiz, or Governors. Extinction of Saad and opposition. Muhafiz Government: With the destruction of Middle Eastern borders, there must be a way to rule such a vast region, the Caliph is not able to rule as a Monarch by himself, and thus smaller governments must be put into power. These are Muhafiz, they are representatives of the regions in which they identify. They work on reforms in their region and assist on information to the Sunayyad throne, essentially working as any Governor would. Except due to the colliding disagreements with ethnic and religious groups, for example, there would not only be the Governor of Persia, but also the Shia and Sunni versions, appealing to their own groups, and although the amount of groups is complex, the Governing will be more General. It's basically a pyramid of power, the Caliph appoints Governors who are well educated to represent their regions, they then work on reforming their regions and speak back to the Caliph on various matters. They join in various meetings at their capitals in Parliaments and work on new ideas and changes. This is a very basic government. This means that as borders, Palestine, Lebanon and Trans Jordan are now sort of merged with Arabia. The case is different though, no identity of their own lifestyles is stripped from them, in reality, it is all a change of borders, no longer must one be identified by their country name, but by their region names and ethnic groups.
The House of Saad is being exhaled from Arabia, the Caliph believes that having the Saudis rule over the Region of Arabia is a terrible risk, and thus the House of Saad is stripped from their power and a new leader, is put in their place, a general of the Caliphs Army. Hejaz and Nejd as secondary regions have appeared, and their own representatives have risen to parliament. The tensions between the House of Saad and these new governors are rising, the Caliph assures that bickering will be met with expulsion from the Sunayyad Caliphate. The Muhafiz Government is notable for not having much power, they are merely managers of their regions, working on improvement and providing for the needs of the Sunayyad Caliphate. The Islamic Republicists are somewhat happy, they are glad in the creation of the Muhafiz government in the fact that regions have much more control and "nationality" to themselves, although some wish for the Caliph to resign as a political ruler and to become a State Religious leader instead.
India, really pissed off that they found the Caliph and was cheated out of power essentially goes berserk and REEEEE, invading Pakistan yet again. This time, they are quite successful. However, it's their turn to be ganged up on from all sides. SEU's friends and SEU itself is repeated raiding India and destroying their stuff. India is being ganged up on, and they are not in a good spot.
SEU, with its strong Air Force is working with Sukhoi and Ilyushin to create capable Aircraft, including the Su-Il-1, the first joint effort Fighter Strike Aircraft. While not a good jet, it is still working and fighting. It uses a wood chassis and is generally capable.
The Federation has started research on a new type of radar to try and get their planes upgraded Research will take 2 years and fitting them will take 1 extra year
Hold up radar isn't even a thing yet, and SEU's spent years trying to make one that can even work on land, with unlimited power. You need to make a land-based radar first, and that's as of yet difficult if not impossible.
BREAKUP OF THE USSR AND... CREATION OF THE USSR? India, incredibly pissed off, has created its own Union separate of the USSR. The USSR has turned into the USSR, from the Union of Socialist State-Republics to the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics. The Southern Socialist Union: India, Myanmar, Thailand, Vietnam, Bhutan, and Laos. These two factions are facing off, on the brink of full-scale war and trying to kill each other. The USSR vs SSU; soon, a third faction will join them, but not yet. (USSR vs SSU vs ISU)
The Muhafiz Government is showing potential. It follows a Parliamentary based form of government, representatives from every region and major ethnic group are given a seat in the Parliament, they have the option to vote on some matters and have a voice to represent their region and speak out for change and current events. This form of government makes the Republicists happy, as well as the Regimists. It gives a parliament and multiple parties in government as the Republicists advocated for, but still gives the Caliph ultimate say and power, something which the Republicists don't want, but they still call it "change." The Parliament resides in Baghdad, which has remained much more stable since Abiwa was killed. The Majmue is a different problem, they insist on the belief that the current Caliph is a phony and doesn't call for the true colours of Islam. The Caliphate has taken the Majmue Jihadists very seriously, and since then have obtained the opening strait to the Red Sea via Naval force and have landed troops on the ground to retake the Region of Yemen. Abyssinia troops attempt to clean Somaliland of the Majmue. Under everyone's noses, the Majmue have done the worst of any evil, slaughtering every none Muslim in the regions, killing Christians, Jews, Indians, Europeans and everyone who isn't Muslim, they even kill Shia Muslims as well. This angers both the Abyssinia Empire and the Caliphate, both have chosen in destroying the Jihadists regime, stating that terrorism and extreme Islam is not welcome.
SSU invasion of the USSR: In just a day, the World turns upside down. SEU's industrial base towers over their enemies. Yet, India is strong and invade with so many troops. SEU is caught off guard; but India declared war on the charges of betraying Socialism. Yet the SEU of that day is not the SEU of the few years ago. SEU's army is strong, with force that has made itself new again. They stand up to the Indian Army, and they are determined, the Asian titans fight bravely. SEU sends its best, its finest. Yet the Indian hordes are endless, but the SEU tanks and Planes just as so. Both sides are ceaseless; there is no end to the fighting, and was there ever a start? But India is at a disadvantage, their Armies and People are weary of War. SEU on the other hand is new, strong, and shiny. Sooner or later, the Soviet Union will start winning. Mahatma Gandhi is disappointed.
