(OOC) ANNOUNCEMENT: After some talking in the Discussions convo, it has been agreed upon that Javor will join the USA and I will now be playing as the USA. HOWEVER, the USA will NOT be allies with TUN, unlike how Javor was.
OOC: This will result in an embargo to USA if they ally. In addition, HMKX will likely recall most of its ambassadors and start work on one more Supercarrier, as well as encouraging UFOS to expand its military.
OOC: But why did you even put restrictions on the USA allying with TUN in the first place? If you think TUN will get too much power, look at your country first.
OOC: You don't seem to understand HMKX's goal is unchallenged Global Hegemony, and to create a global Empire. A USA-TUN-UKNS alliance is the first thing that could challenge HMKX in soft power. They are, whether they realize it or not, emulating the USA IRL like the American "Empire". But the higher they stand, the harder they fall.
NPAT has received brand new members Pakistan. Afghanistan. Kenya. Algeria. The United North cannot let The Empire gain global domination. TUN knows The Empire's main goal is this, and whatever the UN can do to gain friendships all throughout the world is given. TUN wants a meeting with the USA one Wisconsin and Idaho. Both previous strong NPAT members, yet now they are within a nation which does not allow the alliance of TUN. We want our allies back.
The Empire warns TUN that Pakistan and HMKX's Indian region is currently in a constant state of border clashes and that putting them in NPAT is... unwise due to the fact war could, and has unofficially broken out many times. Seriously, India and Pakistan are very hostile towards each other. Vietnam has pulled out of NPAT due to extreme HMKX pressure, like as in we'll embargo you pressure, as they were already allies (I know the map says it isn't, map is wrong). Cuba is under pressure by HMKK to pull out, as they are indirect allies by way of UFOS. HMKX hopes UFOS will pressure them too. It would be good, because UFOS is positively viewed in HMKX and ruining this reputation would result in unfavorable policies towards them. NAE, Guinea and Libya have been accepted into GAD. TUN has condemned the USA for siding with the GAD, an alliance centred around an ASAIN country. Notice my words, a NORTH AMERICAN country joining an alliance which is centred around an ASAIN country instead of their literal brothers. TUN's President regrets ever thinking of the USA as a friend and although doesn't shut down trade agreements, is on the urge of doing it. The Empire's tactics of taking over the world are working, and so far our President isn't doing much about it... United North elections are being held within 3 posts, it's up to the current Liberal government and the Conservatives.
OOC: What is the US's government structure? I don't want it to be the old "three branches" and "checks and balances" because it takes way too long to get anything done in that form, so can I just select a different (democratic) form of government?
Cuba shouldn't be a strong UFOS ally anyway. Just look back at the thread pages, NPAT was a Cuba member before UFOs became an ally. Cuba has been in a long-term relationship with TUN ever since Louisiana was annexed. Cuba stays with TUN and always will. The alliance with Pakistan was a direct slap in the face to India, an Empire controlled area. In the case of war, TUN has Pakistan's side and Pakistan knows that. OOC: I have been telling you many times to update the map, yet you don't. Because you don't I would have never realized you were an ally with Vietnam. Peacekeeping teams apart of TUN have been sent into Kenya to deal with war conflicts. Peacekeeping teams have also been sent into the Central African Empire to diffuse civil war.
No, HMKX removed them because they were angry one of their allies joined NPAT. For example, Kazakhstan is a HMKX ally and GAD member. TUN has no real justification to remove them. But for example, if California joined GAD, TUN could remove them with diplomatic pressure as California trades with more TUN than HMKX, and TUN could justify it with the fact California is a TUN trading partner and Ally. Ditto with Louisiana, or basically every other TUN ally. Look, I'm busy IRL, and also the fact my computer is failing is also not good. I don't have much time on this computer I've managed to get left. You have a point on Cuba, NPAT can have this prize. GAD is a fairly independent organization, they've criticized and slapped sanctions on HMKX's more questionable actions. Omni Laham's resurgence was one good example where they blasted HMKX. HMKX has issued orders to repel Pakistani attacks with brutal efficiency but never, ever, on pain of death by [CLASSIFIED], attack Pakistan or Pakistani territory.
