Moving briefly away from the British Motor Museum to share a picture from Skipton now. Didn't expect to see this there, a Mitsubishi Lancer Evo!
I have other cars that I like more but I love the sound of Evos, the VI RS Sprint is pretty cool but I think it's rare.
Backstory behind this picture Fendy had left his camera in the car (Forgotten it for the second time that day :O ), so went back to get it. His sister and I were playing Pokemon Go by the car, when this middle aged, short woman walked up to it, got in and then the engine roared to life We were like "Oh no!" ... But then she only moved it into a side road. By this time, Fendy was walking back and could see it was gone - he looked disappointed hehe xP But then he looked to his left and saw it down the side road and then got the nice pic above (Y)
Looks the same as a VI, probably with some internals upgraded with the RS Sprint edition But even out of the normal standard Evo engine, it pushes a good bit of power, and can easily have more added! I do believe the RS Sprint editions are rare, but the standard Evos are still affordable... currently! I have other cars I like more as well, but the Evo is a nice one I did keep forgetting my camera that day >_> I wasn't expecting it to be a short woman driving it, but then again, I know you do like Evos yourself I was walking back down and I saw it was gone but I saw your face and knew it had to be somewhere so first I checked that mini car park on the right but nothing... so I carried on and then there it was in the side road, got a good picture out of it
Re-visiting the BMW event, with some more old BMW! If you want to see the full album, I'm linking it again here: https://www.facebook.com/fendysphotos/photos/?tab=album&album_id=1086501451443898
Lots more old BMW coming your way! Plenty of variation, this next one is a bit newer than the last, but is just as classy!
I probably won't get through all the images before all the next car events! Forge and Rallyday are coming up fast... Rover made some nice cars and some not so nice cars, but here's one that did well in rallying! The mighty MG Metro 6R4! Going with the Rover theme, here's one of the Mini model prototypes!
Two very different silver cars in the British Motor Museum Conservation section! A Honda Prelude (strange to have a Japanese car in a British museum)... And this very interesting chrome Land Rover!
More Rover in the Conservation area! The Austin Metro was the bigger brother of the Mini, and it made some pretty interesting designs. For example, this Austin Metro saloon prototype... But perhaps most famous of all, it made the mighty MG Metro! We saw the bonkers 6R4 MG Metro earlier, but here was the more sensible road going version that made a lively little hot hatch...
