Hello Fellow Minecraft Gamers , My Name is Jordan (AKA AlphaDog56). I've tried to find fun vanilla servers , but they all ended up to suck . At first when I joined empire , I kind of though it would be boring. Wow I was so wrong. This is the best server (not just vanilla , but in general server) EVER !!!! I don't understand how it is rank 5 , when it should be rank 1. But I've been a PlayStation gamer for about 8 years. Then when my systems broke I turned to PC gaming. It was the best decision ever. At the moment I play on this thing called Steam. But about 4 months after , I bought Minecraft for PC ( I have experience though , im not a noob). Hey, welcome to EMC! We are glad you are here too, we love new members of the community who love our server as much as we do. I too joined EMC only a short time after playing MC on the PC, so I understand where you are coming from. Its been over a year for me on this server now, and I would not trade it for anything else. I have played on many other servers, but none of them offer the unique experiences and community that the Empire has. Just a few suggestions, as an old player to a new one: Do /vote and vote for EMC daily. Not only do you get free rupees and items in-game, you can help EMC to get to rank #1 instead of being at #5. Edit: Just a side note on voting, if you do it continuously for a long period of time, you will get more rupees and better items. The items are really worth the time and effort spent voting to get them. Check it out at: https://empireminecraft.com/wiki/voting-information-bonuses/ Get involved in your local SMP. Part of what makes EMC great is the community. You will never find anything like anywhere else. So get involved, meet new people, and have fun! It really improves the minecraft experience. Lastly, learn a trade. Find out what your good at, and get better at it. That is how you can find what your special 'thing' is on the server, and you can have fun with it. Some people love to make banners, and while they don't become millionaires, they have fun with it. Other people love to go mining, and that can be a profitable venture. And then there are a talented few who can learn and master the economy in a way that opening a mall or specialty store is easy enough for them to do. Just find your thing or things (some people have multiple things they like to do), and you will have a great experience on here! Have fun and good luck!
Well, I totally agree (duh, not as if I'm biased or anything ) but yeah; way too many servers out there seem to totally forget the very essence of the game: minecrafting EMC is basically a bit of both, where the focus lies on survival & economy, but with plenty of extra perks. As to the higher rank. I can't answer that obviously but just keep in mind that EMC isn't for everyone. Plenty of players are having a great time here just like there are plenty who just don't like it or who eventually get bored and try other things. It happens BUT... if you check out your fellow players using /p <player name> then I think you'll notice one thing very quickly: a lot of players have been playing on EMC for quite a long time. I think the average time of days easily sits around 400 - 500, which IMO says a lot. But yeah, I'm really happy that you're enjoying your stay so far! Well, then I guess you still got a lot to discover. Minecraft, despite it's "easy" looks is quite extensive. And the same goes for the Empire; be sure to check out our wiki if you haven't already, it contains basically everything you might want to know about EMC. And if you can't find something or if it's still puzzling you then be sure to ask.
