This is sort of inhumane. Now people can attack others even in town. Not all people will get the message. A lot of people will lose their stuff even though they aren't seeking harm. I really don't like this idea. What about the people who just want to mine? But they can't because there'll be fat armed heartless killers waiting for them at the base of an outpost. i thought emc was a friendly community. But from the looks of previous posts, it really isn't.
Like... If this isnt a joke... this has GOT to be a joke... I mean...why you do this to yourselves guys? Remember last time when you made a somewhat minor change and you had a mob trying break down your doors and now you take out the very reason why like ALL of us joined EMC? Please oh please tell us this is a joke so I can hang my pitchfork and torch back up on the wall. but, if this is NOT a joke theres a good chance I'll leave. Ive played here for 4 years because its the peace amongst the brutal pvp. I can already imagine penguin in a cart that circles the waste spawn just waitin for victims.(Not saying your mean just saying your OP at pvp and could kill most people on the server pretty easy). And the only way to get a leg up is to spend money? Like yeah in marketing if you can make more money go for it and youll get the people with rich parents who give their kids anything they want to buy it like it costs a penny and youll be rich but it screws the rest of us. So to some it up, it better be a joke, but if its not... youll probably lose a bunch of players.
Similar to Passive Mode on GTA Online, you enable it and a player can't come by and just blow you and your car up and vice versa. Have something similar to that and by default have PVP switched off so that new players that come in won't have to worry about cruelty that some will surely lay down. I understand the staff are trying to implement as much as the combat of 1.9 as possible... What about us that aren't skilled in fighting other people, because the new players may be as young as 5 years old and you don't want to upset them and confuse them with explaining how to turn PVP off when it's defaulted on. I still don't think PVP should be a thing here because it never has been, if it must be something here, make it an option and not mandatory. We should still need to go off the idea "Play your Way". Also to BigDavie's logic: "If you're too scared to fight other players then you must be too scared to fight mobs". Not true, simply because mobs are again controlled by AI and don't have an actual human controlling them. With players very different, we actually have a human mind and not the mind of a computer, a computer just does what you tell it to do . I wouldn't be surprised if this was an April Fool's joke. Ehh.. I'm pretty sure I won't. You know what they say... Karma, karma, karma. What comes around goes around.
