Judgey much? It's just like putting money into any other hobby. If you like painting you're going to keep putting money into buying supplies. If you like playing a musical instrument you're going to put money into new equipment/repairs. I fail to see how this hobby is any different from any other hobby.
I rarely buy video games. In the last 5 years, I've probably only bought a half dozen or so games, all platforms combined(PC, Xbox, etc...). I prefer books and tabletop RPGs. Buying the same game license multiple times seems weird to me, but to each his own...

Awesome. I have to admit that I wasn't expecting so many votes. Guess we all love promo's and alts by the looks of it! I am amazed that only 3 players actually roleplay with their alts. I know Hash does or did (dunno if he voted of course), I do with GripCEO from time to time... So there is a mysterious 3rd What if that mysterious third had 50,000 alts?
If I could afford to have an alt, I know that I would use it to have another res on EMC used to completely crap*post. I will make the weirdest out of place structures using whatever items I have on me. There's a resident not too far away from mine that has been there for years, and it is a mess. While my res is all neat and shallow, I want another resident to reflect my buzzing ADHD ideals. Please make sure I don't waste my money to get an alt specifically for that purpose...
