Canada's project is done! Its something the world has never seen before, a satellite. It has a beacon that will broadcast for 5 months before going out. The signal is put on a unused public channel, for the whole world to hear.
Reminds the United States that such a talk is preposterous, since man has not even sent anything into space yet, much pess a settlement. To progress to such technology, they would need to invest heavily in its precursors, and then aid other countries in their space efforts to collaborate on such a large project.
