  1. The red thing is a 1995 Civic EX, the show is Initial D. He really likes the cars.

  2. But is it your car? Edit: Having seen the Show Yourself thread, I think it is. :)
  3. Yeah, picked it up yesterday. Plenty to do, five different engine codes.
  4. Update: I have five engine codes, an SRS warning light, and a parasitic draw on the battery when it's off. I think I've found the high idle cause (bad IACV), and I'm testing the battery draw Saturday to find the circuit responsible.
  5. Check the TPS sensor as well as the cam sensor. Generally causes issues with idles if gone bad. SRS warning light as I read up on Honda Civic owners is they actually unplug the light in the instrument cluster. It's a 95', bound to have bad wires and grounding out somewhere, or my Dad said, "Just put duct tape over the light, no light, no problem." I had an awesome Dad.

Good luck on the parasitic draw though

  6. The high idle is a stuck IACV, I just need to clean it. The SRS is an open in the passenger side airbag, so I’m going to check the connections, clear the code, and see if it comes back. For the battery, it’s not intermittent, so I just have to unplug the fuses one by one and see when the amp drain stops, then I’ll know the circuit to start working on. Easy.
  7. I don't understand anything of this slang. :p

  8. Ok, had a friend help me with the battery issue. Literally the first fuse I pulled stopped the amp flow. Horn and brake light circuit. My brake lights are stuck on. Should be the brake switch sticking.
  9. Ok, so, TPS was installed incorrectly, got that corrected and the CEL went away, as did the high idle. Now, it hunts for idle and sounds like I’m revving every time I stop. I’m thinking air in the coolant or a vacuum leak, testing this weekend. Or tomorrow, if it annoys me enough.

  11. Oh lordy, it's looking damn fine!

Suppose I should update on my cars now, can't remember when I last did... still a Panda fleet, my first Panda the Fizz is still going strong and looking good!

The 4x4 is still undergoing many changes, including some new paint soon, almost there...

Swindon Panda is still awaiting me to get time to work on it as always!

Bristol Panda is about ready for scrap now, poor car taken too soon, lived a good life though and the parts will save many more!

  15. I wish I could understand this car language, I love classic cars from the 60s and 70s, although a lot of terms especially the ones which just use acronyms for random parts confuse the hell out of me, yet car freaks understand it like regular english

  16. Just takes time. Lots of the acronyms are for sensors and emissions control stuff, so an older car won’t have those. Best way to learn is find someone who has a car to work on and hang out with them.

  18. Done installed, took it to the windy road to test, 100% successful.
