Thanks for the support, guys. I'm probably gonna plant some trees and flowers around it on the outside, once I get the first layer of bricks down on top of the dirt that's gonna be put in (laying said dirt down as I flatten the area out). May also put in a path (and light it up, of course) from the EMC outpost to the statue, made out of the sandstone I'm getting from the flattening part of the job. On the statue itself, I got a full schematic of it, including torch placements to help mitigate hostile mob spawning.
Ah, okay. I guess you meant 'family' figuratively? If I understood right, sounds like a great idea. I'm not on that forum though, maybe you could post about it yourself? Might even get some people to join EMC.

Realistically, that's never going to happen. Not only are the two servers so vastly different in both gameplay and size that people aren't going to care about what happens on EMC, but advertising isn't allowed there so people won't be receptive to hearing about what players on other servers are doing.
By popular request... the photo timeline of the construction process Stop 1 is me, in the middle of marking the borders where the Deepslate Tile Slabs go & where the Polished Blackstone Brick Stairs/Polished Deepslate combo go. Believe me, it was a doozy & had to stop for a little bit at a time to regain feeling in my fingers. Taken from the rooftop of Base Camp, this shows off... nothing but a wall of Deepslate Bricks & their Cracked variants The entrance to the base of the statue is on the other side of the 'point' on the far right (full reveal of the Statue will be done at the end of construction) As you can see from this photo, the borders are in place and ready to be filled in. A slightly different angle from the previous photo, this shows off the floor in place and ready for the border walls & the central part of the statue base to be built. I'll have more to come when I progress further into the build.

More progress has been made in the construction since I last posted on Monday. Here's what happening so far... A rare night time shot. As you can see, I got up to the second set of exterior stairs. About a couple levels to go before I worked on the staircase going up to the balcony below the statue. Started work on the staircase going up to the statue... nothing too exciting here. Not quite there yet, but getting very close. Not only have I started towering up, but I replaced 24 Deepslate Bricks blocks (12 in the front & 12 in the back) with Soul Sand and lit each piece on fire. Figured that it'd be a good visual effect.
Literally 2 days before *kaboom* happened, I was debating buying your 2022 head out of your shop. Figured I would wait just a bit longer and tackle some voucher needs first. Who knew, right? Happy to have you still around skulking in the forums, at least. Be happy. and I will keep your axe safe and sharpened! Love having more than 1 voters for building needs on separate servers.
Your choice of build materials looks EPIC! If you want any assistance with the placing of the path from spawn to the Memorial, I am happy to help out with that part.
Final major update for the Memorial (the Minor updates, such as the pathway from the Outpost to the Memorial, will be on the way, as soon as I unload the mess I collected during the course of the project). Not much happened between this photo and the last one I shared. Only difference is I added a couple more layers to the build. This was the big one. As you can see, the base itself is complete, with access to the platform at the very top via scaffolding. And my work here is done (besides the Minor updates, of course). Moved the viewing point from my Base Camp building (marked with a 'T' in a red box) to DrasLeona247's Map Art for a better view. Soon as I finish unloading my Shulkers on Mandalore (my Utopia res, btw) and reloading a few with some materials, I'll be back out there, making a pathway to the Memorial to the Outpost, plus putting in an area for leaving notes to & about Techno. And before anyone makes a comment on it, once I get the area made for leaving notes to & about Techno, I'll put some more photos up, to give you guys the tour of it. I may take you up on that offer, once I get everything put up back on Mandalore.
Started thinking of the kind of material I want to use for the pathway from the Outpost to the Memorial. I know light sources for sure (more than likely hanging lanterns or floating redstone lamps with daylight sensors, like the SMP7 PWU ones). Was considering doing something similar to what I did over on my outpost and that was a corridor from the original workshop to the storage center made out of stone bricks and chiseled nether bricks. Lot to think about and do for this particular minor update.
Well, I figured it out. While I was dropping off my stuff at Mandalore (5816 on Utopia), I remembered that I had a stash of various blackstone & deepslate blocks (and even some black glazed terracotta) in shulkers at the bottom of my res... and boy, was it a big one. Filled up a Vault page and had to start using another one to hold the stash in. Guess I know the 'main' materials to use for the build (gotta keep it the same theme, right? ). Got enough goods for lanterns & dark oak fences. Soon as I get it loaded up, it'll be time for the pathway construction to begin.
Got started carving out a path from the Memorial to the North entrance of the Outpost (or as close as I can get without hitting the 'protection' line). When I get that handled, the tunnel building will begin. While I do that, I'm also planning out (in my head) where to put the message wall & how it'll look. It'll be mostly made out of Dark Oak, with perhaps either deepslate or blackstone mixed in.
Went a different route on the message wall (you'll see when I put the pictures up for the 'grand opening'), but that part's complete. Also got the tunnel built, for the most part. Just need to put in the upside-down deepslate brick stairs and hang the lanterns with chains and it'll be complete. Gonna hop on and see how much I can get done today. With there being not much left to do, I should be done here shortly... assuming that I don't run into network lag.
