so... hate to bump this, but thoughts on echo? i'm waiting to play her until the craze is over, but she seems pretty neat she also has m e m e s p r a y s
My honest review of Echo: She is a great final addition to the Overwatch roster as Hero 32. Overwatch 2 will probably not come out this year due to the pandemic, but she's great (personally cannot wait for her dance in May). While she could've easily been a tank or healer, which we wanted, but I have to admit, for a DPS she certainly is the most unique. Her kit calls for strategy, and as her Ultimate states, asks for someone with adaptability. You as a player needs to know what to do and have a plan for every minute of the match. You need to know what to do if the Tracer is flanking, or if you know that Reaper has an Ult behind the Reinhardt's shield. You need to be alert the entire time to benefit your team. Her flight ability allows you to easily maneuver across the battlefield and give you the upperhand with the grounded enemies. Imagine a Valkyrie Mercy reviving a teammate, YOU can fly towards her and stop her in her tracks. Her sticky bomb and focus beam are both very pivotal parts of her gameplay and provide and excellent combo that can kill any 250 hp hero or below. The focus beam allows Echo to stick with her team to let them rack up damage so you can finish them off with the beam, and her sticky bombs are great to scatter the enemy team and potentially trap them. Her primary fire is excellent for those of us with bad aim. Being in a triangular shape really helps make a spread across the enemy hitbox, plus I find it easier to get headshots with her than any other DPS. Finally, her Ultimate is the most unique and overpowered in her game. The way you use it can singlehandedly turn the tides of battle. If an enemy is using a Meta Hero you can take it upon yourself to become the Meta. Image two Nano Boosts coming from your team, or two Deadeyes, there are so many possibilities that you and your team can come up with, it just takes time and experimentation. Overall, Echo isn't the hero class we expected, but the one we needed. The Overwatch community has risen as it usually does following the release of a hero, and it seems like it will become stable throughout time. She's great for a majority of the players, both new and old, and could bring the community together as a whole. Also, we need to show those dang Valorant kids what Overwatch is made of!!!
I've never had any of this happen. also, hammond is really easy to headshot with even if it doesn't do much damage.
If only I could show you that she's maxed out on my account lol. Also, odd how her PC color (holographic blue) is different from Console (Dark Burgundy) Edit: Oops they just changed the color my bad broski
Echo will likely get a nerf soon seeing as she was just released about a week ago. It is surprising to see that she was admitted to competitive play straight away unlike any other new hero which is disabled from competitive for the season until the next. This week though Echo is out of rotation for competitive so that is a nice change since there was constant noobs picking her and getting no kills because they aren't sure how to use her yet.
my point was i've been playing the game if i have unlocks for her, i was on fitzyhere's stream two days ago and he only had 3 unlocks at the time of me watching lol. <--- is playing 62% of the hero pool
