  1. Volt founded the NR with some help. I founded Volt, with help from several individuals.

  2. We have come to a critical part in our history. We, as a nation can't postpone this any longer. We must choose how we will govern our selves, and what type of nation we want to be. With this I'm proposing a vote on what type of government we shall have. We could maintain the kind of government we have now, a dictatorship (it was unintentional but seems to be working). We could also adopt a democracy. Any ideas are welcome and encouraged. I would also like to ask everyone what they think of a second town/city/village thingy. It would probably be in the north or north west part of our territory. Thoughts are as always welcome and encouraged. This town would be a much less structured and smaller area. Thoughts?

  3. im not part of volt in a citizenship, but I think it should be somewhat dictatorship and somewhat a democracy
  4. Since this a short lived society and I take it the dictator won't die if you get a vote for a dictator who you think is a good leader I think that is the best way.

  5. I thought you were a citizen... Do you want to be one? I think some mixture would be good aswell. I think that a dictatorship with an "override" where if a certain part of the pop. Votes for the executive's removal he is removed. The have elections every half a year.
  6. Wrem is slowly planning a possible future democratic government system. Volt could stay a dictatorship before becoming a state of Wrem?

  7. I'd much prefer to stay independent.
  8. Correct we are planning to get a democratic system up and running. Annoyingly, I haven't been able to spend as much time at working on it as I would like to have, but slowly but surely we are getting there.
If Volt were ever to join as a state of Wrem a referendum would be needed that would show that a majority of Volt's citizens want to join. If they do, we will ask they fulfill some criteria such as having certain regulations and freedoms within the state, as well as following Wremain federal law.
But for now, Volt must decide on its own future. In my opinion, it should follow the model of Wrem with a focus on democracy. However socialistic policies would help the country and improve its growth, such as free temporary accommodation, a pay to access public farm and developed rail system would really kick it off!

  11. This is an official Voltian Government Announcement.
Following the recent acquisition of the tunnel portion of the road to Stoneguard I am proud to announce the new Infrastructure Integration Campaign! This campaign will work to not only create and restore infrastructure but connect every rail line in Volt to allow passage from Wrem straight to any part of Volt and a straight ride from Estona to anywhere in Volt. I need people to help me in this effort and to provide materials, financial support and labor. Please contact me on this forum, through a PM, or in game for more information and/or to help!
A second campaign is also in the works. In order to get the people's opinion there will be a vote on what type of Government we shall have. Contact me if you would like to be the elections commissioner. We are looking for and unbiased person.
  12. In my opinion you should have a simple democratic system. One in which maybe eight people are elected into the government. The citizens will then also elect a mayor as the political leader. Then you, rock, should have a permanent position as Premier of the state. Your job would be to make sure that the elected government can't do anything too bad. You would have limited political power. All laws would have to be signed by you and you can refuse to sign them. You should also be able to dissolve government. If you suddenly turn evil, the government can hold a vote of no confidence with you, and then the citizens can elect whether they want you out. And a new Premier is then elected into the permanent position.

All of the above was totally not based on the political system in planning for Wrem...

  13. That was actually the sort of system I thought would work best. We will likely modify it if it gets chosen. however I've made most of the decisions for Volt. I think its time the people spoke.

  14. u should do the socialist one dean was talking about
  15. What would that be? I'm more talking about government and less about economic systems.
  16. Think there should be at least some socialistic aspects to a countries running. Not too much of course, but having it definitely will aid its development.
  17. yea i agree it needs a way to get money...especially in this emc format
  18. Donations to infrastructure integration campaign badly needed. Anything from rupees to materials are welcome and greatly appreciated! Gold is needed in particular! Thanks!

  19. This is a map of Volt's planned infrastructure.
Pink= Canals (with the exception of the one pink line over on the right, that should be yellow)
    Yellow and Blue= Subways
    Red and Green= Rail Lines
All red and blue parts are complete.
This is why your country needs your support. These new pieces will benefit you but they must be built first! We need your support.
Edit: I am still looking for an election commissioner, contact me if you're interested. it requires very little time and you get to see results of elections first.
