It's not necessarily a bad case but I would of chose something that was a solid color so that I could hide my cables and what not. It might also be a bit bright if you have it out in the open instead of in a computer desk or something.
They seem to sell for around $65 including shipping. Ebay and Paypal fees will take you down to just under $60.
Jkjkjk what do you think about the case in general? Should I sell it? I'm worried about cooling and airflow since I can't hide any wires.
I was going to, I just need advice if I should sell the case I bought/ return it and get something more gaming oriented.
It seems pretty roomy. While it doesn't appear to have stellar cable management, it can be made to have some (not hidden though). Since it is a plastic type case, they are easy for cutting. If you wanted to add in a point where you could use zip ties, all you would have to do was slowly drill some holes. It would have to be done before starting the build though. Another thing is that if you or someone you know is good with tools, you can put the airflow practically anywhere you want to (factoring in fan cable lengths). Its not an amazing case, but it is also not a horrible case. I was considering getting a plastic case since they allow "workshop customizing". I like white cases, so clear wouldn't have been my choice. But clear cases can look really cool with well placed LED strips. If you want to get rid of it for equal money or some profit, then go for it. But if it seems like you aren't going to get rid of it, then don't panic, it is an average quality case from the looks of it. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811148012 The reviewers on Newegg seem to approve of it.
I'll keep the case for now. If I don't like it, I'll sell it later on. I'm actually looking forward to the "rainbow" lights. I didn't know rainbow was a color itself. XD
I would like bump this thread and thank everyone for helping me with this computer. My current specs will be: i5 2500k CPU Asus P8Z77-V LK motherboard 8GB Corsair Dominator RAM Galaxy 660 Ti GC 3GB GPU Seagate Barracuda 500GB Hard Drive NZXT Phantom 410 Gunmetal case I've learned a lot building this computer, and I've made a couple of mistakes. Like getting an i5 2500k for $160 dollars on Ebay when I should have gotten an i5 3570k for the > %10 performance boost around the same price. I have purchased a mouse, if requested I'll post a link to its specs. I need a nice, silent mechanical keyboard that has a blue backlight. Any suggestions?
Just some things I would have changed: A 760 instead of a 660 ti, the 760 beats the 660ti and is roughly the same price. If you got it on sale or used than disregard what I said http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...301&nm_mc=AFC-IR&cm_mmc=AFC-IR-_-na-_-na-_-na A 1 TB Harddrive costs about 7$ more that the 500 gb version. Again if you purchased it used or had it leftover than disregard this. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...301&nm_mc=AFC-IR&cm_mmc=AFC-IR-_-na-_-na-_-na I would have gone with a cheaper Motherboard but that's just me trying to cut corners. I'd also like to see what mouse you are getting. Good choice on the case i'm getting the red version because I like the way it looks but you could have gotten a cheaper case and invested in some of your other components.
Another thing I just noticed after looking through the thread is that you bought SDRAM with 204 pin while your motherboard uses 240 pin, basically you bought laptop ram instead of desktop ram, it won't work with your motherboard at all.
I got my GPU used and won it on Ebay for $170. As for the hard drive, same thing. http://www.amazon.com/E-3lue-E-Blue-2-4GHz-Wireless-Optical/dp/B00DPC015E That's the mouse I purchased, everyone says it works great and it look really good for the price. The power supply is an APower AK Series 680W I just installed and uninstalled the RAM it went in fine. I also just found out that I only got one stick in the pack. Kman not HAPPY.
Guess the ebay description was wrong on the ram, also based on the reviews it seems like that power supply doesn't supply the advertised power and is pretty crumby. The mouse looks really nice IMO.
That local seller... Never again... If I have enough money left over a I'll grab a PSU that is great and that's modular. I don't know what happened about the RAM... I found the purchase and the picture shows two modules.
yeah that's why I was worried about the ram, I would go with semi-modular instead of fully modular as fully modular tends to be more expensive, Here's a few examples: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...301&nm_mc=AFC-IR&cm_mmc=AFC-IR-_-na-_-na-_-na http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...301&nm_mc=AFC-IR&cm_mmc=AFC-IR-_-na-_-na-_-na http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...301&nm_mc=AFC-IR&cm_mmc=AFC-IR-_-na-_-na-_-na http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...301&nm_mc=AFC-IR&cm_mmc=AFC-IR-_-na-_-na-_-na

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817151107 Got it on sale for $80 shipped once. It is amazing.
So apparently I lost stick of RAM according to the seller, but I could of sworn I saw just the one in the box... So anyone willing to find me a single 4GB stick of Corsair Dominator? If not should I just buy another pack of two and have 12GB of RAM?
