Hello there, my name is OreoTheChristian. I am the preacher at my church I have on SMP2 at 4247. The church is not done yet, but feel free to check it out! If you have any questions about Christianity please do ask , but I do not know everything about it, I am still learning, but still ask and I may be able to do some research to answer your questions. If anybody needs anything from me, like extra supplies please let me know and I may be able to help you. Also I am thinking about doing animations about God on Youtube, if you have any suggestions about what to animate please let me know. I want to do good in the world, and be a shinning light for everyone to see. Thank you! Not trying to offend anybody else's beliefs, just preaching mine! And I am joking with the unicorn thing! -OreoTheChristian
Can I submit to be a pastor there? I am very spiritual ( Muted for it once ) and at the moment in my school I have a 100.5 in Bible class, but the only thing that maters in the end is that Jesus is first.
Thanks guys for all the support! I will let you know when it opens and then I will start hiring people to work at the church.
May I also say, the Bible says "If you deny Me before men, I shall deny you before My Father in heaven". So you say no here if you ARE a believer of Him will lead to a bad path, but he will forgive you, but also if you don't believe, and ask for forgiveness, He will hear you! Just if you ask "send me 20$", and don't believe in Him he will not hear you.
This is great, but there are some of us who are not Christian, so I feel that this thread might not be appropriate on EMC. You can talk about this in game, but if it's on the Forums it might be offensive to other religions. Thanks!
I like this, and I really hope you'll succeed into building something nice here. As for me.. I'm not religious at all, maybe to the verge of being a bit cynical about religion in general, but do consider myself spiritual. If I would need to 'label' my "faith" or believes I'd be tempted to mention Gaia, even though that's probably picked up wrong without context (which I'm not giving because I won't risk side-tracking your thread). Despite that I really like what you're trying to do here, and when done right (so without bothering people so to speak (note: not saying that you do, just speaking my mind here)) then I think it is very admirable how you manage to combine your irl believes and ideals and place them into Minecraft. Our views on life may differ, but that doesn't mean I cannot respect a genuine well meant effort. And (trying to) stand up to your believes is a big thing, esp. when done right. I'll be sure to check your project out sometime.
Sorry for two posts but... Live and let live. While I do agree with your concerns I don't think they apply. No offence intended here towards anyone (I know my following comment can sound disrespectful) but to me this is no different than saying "I really like Pokemon, I build my residence fully within the style of Pokemon and if you want to know more about Pokemon in general ask me!". Some people like Pokemon others feel strong about religion (I know: one is a hobby, the other a faith, even so...). To me there is no real difference here. As to people who follow another religion: nothing is stopping them from doing the same. It's not as if anyone gets singled out here. Sure, some people may not agree with this. But that's a different subject all together IMO. Some don't agree with alt characters, others don't agree with some build preferences or styles, etc, etc. But to me everyone should be allowed to have his/her moment in the spotlight. Even if they want to use it to advocate their faith and ideals. As long as its done within moderation and not overdone (it would be different if Oreo would do this every week) then I don't see the problem.
Well, I guess this is the place to voice my religion. In the beginning, there was a single Stone Slab. The single Stone Slab looked upon the desolate universe and said "Let there be slabs!" and The Big Bang happened. Stone Slabs went flying everywhere. Slabs that were traveling super fast would collide with other fast ones and, due to their intense kinetic energy, they collided to form stars. The rest of the slower stone slabs merely collided with each other to form planets, one of which is Minecraft. Life formed on some of it and as I, the creator, looked upon my creation, I took a picture. If this intrigues you, you should see the Stone Slable. It is similar to the Bible or Koran, but this tells the truth. The 10 slabmandments do not lie.
