Managed to snag two of the ultra-rare drops from a few sad, sad Super Turkeys. Not so super when your corpse is sitting in my chest, eh?
Would be interesting, but instead of "Tastes different than real bacon" it should be "Tastes like maple". I'm Canadian myself, so I love any Canada-themed promos on the Empire.
Definitely not complaining because I like this promo but I've spent a good deal of time out in the Wastelands and Frontier today and I've yet to see a single turkey or gotten a message about the chest. Is there some secret I'm missing here?
the ones i have found/killed were in the nether. though im in the same boat not getting any of the super rare drops XD though i guess that is why its called super rare drop. i will never stop killing them till i get the drop!
I've gone out in groups of 3, that seems to help our odds. We usually just switch off to kill the turkey. I suggest going out in a group.
Well the odds are split between everyone in the same world as you, so everyone else doing the same as you lowers your odds. The later hours would have better odds when less people are on. You could go to each smp's live map and find a world (waste or frontier) with least people for best chance. ======================== also note: if anyone has an item that got around my 'auto fixer' for the final flag, be warned: I'll get it in the next update. Do not buy any item due to it missing the final flag when it should have it. It will auto add final back and strip any extra enchants added. If you have enchanted one already, contact SS ahead of time to have it replaced (to full durability) and SS can compensate you an enchantment book of the reversed enchant (I haven't talked to the SS about that part yet so give them link to this post if needed but ill say it in staff chat too) IF the enchant was max level, otherwise some rupees instead.. And intentionally trying to get around the auto fixer would be exploiting a game bug (cause at this point you know its a bug), so just do the right thing and turn it in to make it easier on yourself please
The turkey uses the exact same system as enraged/minibosses - in that it replaces a mob spawn (chicken), so sticking together and standing still wont help. You need to constantly move and be far enough apart to get different chunks loading. also, chunk loading is tied to the Feast Chest too... so, keep moving for the best chances!
Interesting, maybe it was just a coincidence. We were all moving about but sticking together seems to work. I guess not.
1024 hearts seem a little much if they drop that.. o3o ..But question, Aikar.. Why are the enchants different..? Are they not the same super-special rare item..?
Pab10S and Me both got a rare drop from the "Super Turkeys" + We both got a Feast Chest. This is a very good Event/Promo! Thank you Aikar!
