I feel the same way, to be honest. I've just learned to force myself to make cards and stuff because my parents get pissy when I don't do things for them on these days
I completely agree! It's kind of sad that some people need things like this... But yeah, I know what you mean! We always did do mother's day, because my mother often didn't really get much rest normally, she always had to do nearly everything. It's certainly much better to do it the way you're doing it, though.
