[Guide] Find your EMC Economic Impact Using the EMC ShopKeeper

  1. That's a bit peculiar, what time did you start voting? Also this is another good example of why new players should vote.

I'm sitting at 726 right now and according to the program I made a total of 1.87mil off of it, maybe somewhere along the line EMC buffed the rupee income value?

Also shout outs to those who have purchased my horses! You guys purchased over 3mil's worth!
  2. I'm guessing here, but as noted, you will get roughly 200k with single votes on an account and 250k (or slightly better) if you vote for all the sites daily on an account. This can create some pretty dramatic swings over 700 votes, 700*200 = 1.4 mil vs 700*250 = 1.75 mil. This ignores that he has had 90 some days and you what you have so far but easily explains the difference. I vote on as many as I can but due to shared ip, I don't get all every day, so I'm guessing I'll end up at say 1.6 million at 700.
  3. My buddy shavingfoam is the one who made EMC Shopkeeper! I've even helped him track down some nasty bugs in the shopkeeper and help him add stuff to the shopkeeper. He needs to know what gets printed in your Rupee History so what he asks me to do when EMC updates to a newer version of Minecraft is to buy each new item that was added to Minecraft. So yea, I even suggest if you use this tool... just put a shortcut on your desktop and backup the database frequently. So if you accidentally make a mistake when you assign a payment transaction, you can just restore a previous backup.

Something that's a little fancy that I do is synchronizing the database between 2 computers (desktop and laptop). I use TeamViewer to send the database backup .zip files between the two computers, whichever computer has the latest update for the database, I back up the database and send it to the other computer!

If anyone wants to give my buddy shavingfoamsome suggestions on what to put in shopkeeper, you can just post on this thread here: EMC Shopkeeper's Thread ;)

  5. As long as you update
  6. Just downloaded this and it's quite nifty... I like how it's all calculated... Vote bonus of 543 and I'm over 1mill in rupees gained from that... That's crazy.
  7. I probably have -2,000,000 or more I don't earn much but I spend lots still have 1.4m somehow
  8. You can view by date and player too, so you could take a look at that person who owns the casino for some totals.
  9. Umm, I followed all your guidelines and my total impact was 57,501,786 rupees .
I don't have a lot of Payments (738), But some are of grate value I guess, Highest I remember was around 4 Million. Umm, I guess this a lot from all the comments, Hehe, Wish I still had some of it left, Currently not participating in the economy and Oh Boy I'm poor, Haha.

  10. Heck of an impact in really not super long time considering your time in EMC. It does show how much someone can do for the economy in a smaller window. Remember that impact is ins and outs so with almost most people in game, as well as real life, we expand our spending to match our income many times.

  11. according to the shopkeeper, I have got around 5 mil in terms of shop signs going with my own shop. and 7 nillion including other malls (I have had a meggamall, I don't think newer players know that) and I also have over 2000 payments, so I won't look through them... My sign-in and vote bonuses of this accound is around 700Kr, so that isnn't bad either... :p

  12. 8,535,401 with payments making up less than 20% of that total. I don't buy much.
  13. Wow, I would really have expected more with your large shop. BTW, about 27,000k of that is my purchases! I found it funny that the most of any single product I have sold is to GianLuca99Star, 6,620 ink sacs.

As of today, 13,499,383 in impact and roughly 50% is from payments. If I excluded voting and sign in bonus figures it appears my buying/selling at shops (all shops) and my payments for auctions and other transactions are really close to equal. All shops are 6,261,907 and my payment tab total is 6,488,526. Pretty evenly split, I thought that was kind of interesting.
  14. After review I realized I made a mistake and you now can bump that figure up a little to 9,549,689.

My shop has variety but I tend to spend a lot of time in the wild by myself and very rarely advertise. Perhaps I should change its name from "The Little Fortress Depot" to "The Hermitage". The upside of being a little known shopping destination is that I don't have to spend nearly as much time trying to keep it up as some.

There's also the fact that I have to compete with 4-5 well-known, massive malls on SMP9 which account for the overwhelming bulk of the buying and selling there. (MrColt45, allengero, GoodnightSmith, etc.) The result is a fairly low activity shop, albeit one that has been nominally profitable.

PS- After 3.5 years I only have 90 total payments which come within less than 2,000 rupees of being exactly balanced. Like I said, I don't buy much. I also have only been at iron supporter level since the beginning of the year and never higher. That means I missed out on all the extra rupee bonuses which used to come with being a supporter.

  15. I joined after that stopped due to changed in the MC eula. I did start on smp9 and I must say that it did have a lot of nice malls. I feel so new... I have been playing minecraft for about 8. 5 months and on emc for about 7.5! As a new player I spent my first 2 months (or there about) out in the wild, building my home, a villager town and a 8000 block under ocean rail system. So my economy play has been less than 6 months. Needless to say I love it. ... but like IRL, wish I could figure out that saving thing.
  16. I have three main accounts that I use for the majority of all my shop transactions. Two accounts run shop(s) and I tend to buy/sell to other shops with the third. I didn't try to download payments. Total transactions to date (both in and out): 162,678,352r

Keep in mind, that is not profit or my rupee total, but simply how many rupees I've exchanged through shop signs with other players.

  17. See what I mean? No way I'm squaring up against that.

  18. too lazy to do the payments part
my net total is -6,573, 463
    :D
  19. Well, first did you do all dates for both your shop and other shops? Also, if this is true, your payments have to be greater than +6,573,363 - bonus/voting tab stuff because it is impossible to be negative rupees. Also, net does not give the economic impact... BTW, I did put in a request to have a total page to calculate all this including payments too.
  20. i use a secondary account to hold my rupees, so thats why it went negative :)
