Yes, dead eggs do count towards your egg limit. You have 2 dead eggs that died yesterday, but good news is they only count for 24 hours. So you should be able to get eggs soon. Also, the dead eggs stay on your scroll for a couple weeks before it goes away. Check this link for more information. Also, a lot of this information is listed under "Help" on your dragon scroll. Actual dragon information is on the wiki. http://dragcave.net/help/egglimits ~Kia
sorry for double post but, thislittle fellow "the pillow dragon" (best name EVER!) just hatched after 2 or 3 days...
Never really a good idea to kill a dragon. The dead egg counts toward your egg limit. All though it's only for 24 hours, but the egg will be on your scroll for a few weeks. The only times that eggs are usually killed is during Halloween (31st), when people are wanting the Zombie Dragon. Others try to get a Neglected Dragon, which in most cases they end up with a dead dragon or a normal dragon. If you don't want the egg, wait for the cool down and then abandon it. That way someone else will get it to raise. ~Kia
lol, I keep loosing this page in the notifications.. xD ..With killing dragons for Zombies it is always best to start killing during the Halloween breeding period as dragons can refuse to die and you have to wait 24 hours to have a chance to successfully kill them again, otherwise they will just keep refusing.. ..There is also vampire bites and earthquakes that can cause a majority of egg deaths.. Both of those are Breed-Specific Abilities from the Vampires and Green dragons respectively. Biting has a chance of making more vampires and earthquake can cause eggs to hatch quicker.. but there is a cost of possibly killing the eggs..
Ok batt, I attempted to breed the new dragons, but I got the "wont go near" failure message. So I'll have to try again in a week and use some fertility action. And for the person who asked what the name of the new dragon is....it's called a Nhiostrife Wyvern found in the Alpine region. The adult is in my signature. ~Kia
