By Microsoft themselves, you will receive no more security updates after Windows 10 dies. Alternatively, you could pay for an extension to your Windows 10 license, though it comes at a cost. The number doubles each year, up to year 3, before Windows 10 is entirely unsupported for those who paid for a license extension.

I don't use Windows, but when you go to your control panel, I think(?), it should either say if you can install Windows 11 or not. If not, then you can attempt to upgrade, for free, using the Windows 11 upgrade tool from Microsoft.

Alternatively, you could buy Windows 10 LTSC, which is supported my Microsoft until 2032. My friend did that, though the upfront cost is expensive!

we need true dark mode for desktop

I cannot speak for other Linux distros, but Linux Mint Cinnamon has dark mode for desktop, and it looks great. Cannot wait to try it out on Wayland when I get a chance! <3

Just want to emphasize is that the purpose of a UPS is to give the user time to shut their computer down, not push their computer to their limits when running on battery. You wouldn't get into an intensive gaming match while on battery, otherwise you'll stress your UPS out and it'll drain in like 4 minutes XD

As a stark fan of the Half Life universe, I must recommend Black Mesa if you haven't played it. It's a remake of the original Half Life and the crew really outdid themselves with the sheer beauty of it.

Oooooo, I've seen and heard good things about it! I have it on my "To-Do" list of things to do in the future~ I've heard about the awful story of Half-Life: Source, and I'm glad the fans got together to right Valve's wrong!
