We have them in the UK. More than ever before actually, because our deer population is out of control because we’ve killed all of our wolves, bears, and wildcats, but introduced non-native deer to the island and also outlawed the intentional killing of deer. Deers are covered in ticks 🥰
AFAIK only some parts of Norway, some parts of Russia, and Finland (although climate change is allowing them to survive there) don’t have them. Iceland apparently doesn’t have that many, with most of them being carried by birds from different countries, although they do colonise some parts of Icelandic woodland if they’re lucky enough for their host to land in one.
Ewww, 10 a day?!?! I'd freak out. I've never gotten a tick, even when living in NJ or when camping outside. I did thorough checks everyday but never found one. I'm so glad.
I just found another one. :( I do freak out, they are worse than mosquitoes because they are silent and just crawl around. 607, you are very lucky to not have any. I spend most of my time outside and I have been clearing brush to reduce the little rodents that like to eat my garden plants so that is why I get so many.
get ya some chicken or even invite a family of opossums to move in.. they eat so many ticks.. very clean little guys.. oh and of course the chickens loooove ticks. =]
