I want everyone to know, first of all, that entry into this "nation," for lack of a better word, is completely optional. I will not be pushing you to join (obviously I will encourage it) but it will all be from your free will. Nobody is in this nation except for those who choose to be. I said "nation" and that was a lie. I won't be founding a nation, because such a thing is impossible to get going outside of a wild outpost. Instead you'll be a citizen of <unnamed>. A complex system of government has never worked on EMC, even in such a small community as a wild outpost. SO I will not be setting up a complex system of government. My main goal as EMC President will be to encourage two simple, yet very important, things: Unity, and Fun. And those two go together. I will be actively creating new community events for the public. In addition, I will be supporting community events such as jkrmnj's Friday Night Fun (if that is still running) and community-run events such as Clan23's Friday Night Miners. New events would be actively created by a team of builders. This includes common games such as spleef and mazes, along with other, new ones. I also plan on building a Creature Capture arena, much like the one on SMP5. The community will have a very large input on which events/games they would like to see made. As to how I will be funding this, a small tax (yay...) will be put in place. This tax, 200r/month or 2,000r one time, will be used to fund the events hosted for the community. This is a rough plan. Over the next six days I will be adding to this, likely drafting a small Constitution, and forming a plan of action should I win this election. I also want to caution everyone to look at the background of those running for the election. Vote for those you trust.

If I am elected president of EMC, I shall pass one reform. Not just any reform though, this one has been asked for so much I still to this day cannot see how we have not already had a revolution. I will create a separate section on the forums for new auctions! No longer will you have to dig through specific sub-forums to find a good read, this is the best of both worlds! Not only will this be beneficial to the auctioneers, because people interested in auctions will be able to browse more without going into the sub-forum, it will also appease those who don't want their front page clustered with auctions. Tl;Dr - Vote for me

Can I just ask.... how should we do the voting? Anyone know? It will involve people ranking their candidates in order of preference.
I'd say private conversations, honestly. I know it will spam, but everyone's able to do it and it makes it much harder to cheat. You just have to watch out for alts.
