Farm any day. The casino is a player building a game. Resources are still gathered for that game. Effort is required that continues to have effort required. Gold farms are basically just abuse of a crap system by Mojang in my honest opinion. I get that it takes time, etc to make them, but for the payout in the long run, it's WAY OP and a major oversight in the game mechanics.
I'd love to see us actively growing again, and am constantly thinking of ways to make that happen. I think that overtime Minecraft as a whole has dwindled a bit, but it still has such a prevalent market with younger generations for its learning potential. I think community interaction is such a strong suit of EMC that I see the future of EMC possibly having even more community interaction, without necessarily being so focused on the grind of materials that we lose sight of the fun. So I guess I'd have to say that my image is more positivity and more community driven items.
That exactly. I hadn't even heard of it before, so he found a server for us to play on. Had only been dating for a few months when we joined. It was a great team-building exercise =)
Even though this is quite off-topic, I want to argue why one of the two things I like to do when playing minecraft (making aestethicly pleasing things and making high tech farms) is something that helps the game. Since, well, for the people that build massive farms (Like the people from the SciCraft server (youtube-based whitelisted server)) don't build them for the items/XP anymore, they're just up for a chalange... I mean, yes, it is OP in normal gameplay, But when you're making farms like that you're playing for making the farms, not to jsut afk there forver. Those people make a massive slime farm when they're done with the gold farm, than another, even faster iron farm, than a netherwart farm etc. Playing minecraft technically / with making "OP" farm is just one way to play minecraft The fact that you don't like playing like that doesn't make it less nice. The problem with big servers is though, that people with a lot of different interests are packed together in one server, one makes OP farms, and the people that mainly like the starting gameplay play on there aswell, that's the reason some servers qualify as "more aestethic based" servers, and others as "technical" servers. EMC has a mixture of all of them becuase it's economeny based, and you can make money with doing anything, so all those people are packed together. Lastly (I know, I typed a lot) I kind of get the feeling that you didn't play full vanilla minecraft as much, wich is fine, but when you do, you'll see that something like a gold farm by SnowClasher (I don't know how to spell it) isn't really OPP, okay, you get a lot of gold, but the XP stil isn't fast ebough for most people. I know some people find it way too slow and tend to build an even bigger one, one that took longer to design as it took to actually build it, as with all technical farms.
He said to choose one or the other and my answer was my opinion. I did play plenty of normal Minecraft, even single player off the server as well as some skyblock for a while. I'm not inexperienced as a 'player'. His specific comment was about massive gold farms. I do not believe that Mojang ever intended for their game mechanic to be abused to the production degree that I see, and have seen since I was younger on the server. Otherwise, why would mining for gold even be an option when you can just sit afk and farm it? Gold used to be valued as a rare mineral. Now I have players complaining when the prize for something is gold. I attribute that to massive gold farms. When comparing a massive gold farm to a casino, that was the summation of my opinion and does not represent my thoughts when looking at all farms or farm-creators in general. Now please don't turn this thread into that debate.
Most of them aren't essays and the majority of the answers shouldn't be. IF the application is a good one, I get a lot of enjoyment out of it. You can ask the Senior Staff. I start going "OMG OMG OMG wouldn't they be perfect! I mean, they have to pass the other bits, but guys start stalking this person now!'... Seriously ask the SS. I do just that ^

I have a wide range of music that I like to listen to, but I mostly listen to country. Other days it ranges from pop, to hip-hop, Disney classics, rap, 80s, and even Broadway showtunes. We own a PlayStation, but I'm not 'on' it. This is actually a contention point between moose and I. I never watched them growing up and he enjoys testing me over little details I've mostly just learned from the memes. I finally watched some, but still haven't watched them all. Don't shoot me.
