Hate to be that guy but I don't think this auction is legal:

A second chance book does not fall within those 3 categories, it's filed under "Tutorial starting gear". And before anyone argues that you can auction off starting armor: that's merely because it's enchanted.

So from that perspective the only way to auction this off is using a DC quantity.

On a strictly personal note I'd like to add that I think the auctioning of these books should be banned. I don't think it's ethical to try and profit from a ban like this. The book was meant to read and to learn from it in order to prevent making the same mistake(s) twice, not to try and make a profit out of it.

No offense intended, just my personal opinion. Either way, I reported the auction just to make sure I got it right.

As Shel stated above, this auction is not currently legal because it does not fall under anything in the category of "Certain EMC Custom Items." As he said, that section is very specific about what items are allowed, and this is not one of them. This item will need to be auctioned in a DC quantity to qualify as a valid auction.
