Sorry but this isn't something I see us doing. The whole point of "original" was to distinguish them vs the "common eggs". The original 19 x egg released was not released for the intent of being special, but to simply let the original owners have a head start on the new D Egg economy, and get some in circulation for the mean time. Players shouldn't expect "special treatment" just because they had the money to buy one before than later, and it would be odd to give the original owners 2 special items. These eggs should not be considered anything special, as they are simply duplicated eggs from creative mode... Plus, with their current price tag and the current prices of Dragon Stones.... I wouldn't expect the new Dragon Eggs to drop that much in price if at all. You might say it could raise the price of Dragon Eggs once DT is done.
youll have to ask the owners of the original dragon eggs. I hear they go for a LOT (that is, if they're willing to sell them)

There are only like 3 Original eggs left or something? 9 eggs, I believe some were lost/Players quit and then 2 traded. I know there's one in a museum at some SMP.Haven't seen any besides that. Yeah, find an owner and offer him life time Diamond supporter and 20million rupees.
No, I don't think this is right. The dragon eggs that are circulating now are before the dragon tombs. You can't do anything with them yet but they are there already so people can have them when the land claiming update comes out. When they drop in price when you can actually get dragon eggs, there's no problem with that. They were too expensive now because they were un-obtainable. If the price will drop when you are able to obtain them yourself, that's perfectly natural. And you who paid 555k for one, you have one right when the update comes out, while the other people still have to get more tokens.
I concur with Aikar on this one. The original eggs (the ones from the actual enderdragon whether earned or bought) were already give special lore/abilities in order to distinguish them from the copies that were made. There were originally 7 of these "Original Dragon Eggs" in circulation (or sitting in vaults most likely). Each egg owner was given 19 copies in order to put more into circulation and give them a head start on the new dragon egg economy. The argument you are making was already made and discussed over a year ago. The result was to lore the real "originals" as well as give them the ability to place a ender crystal with right-click. Making lored versions of the copies that were handed out would be arbitrary to the original decision and that is why it will not occur.
I still think dates would be cool, for the new ones and old ones. It would make all of them feel like more of a collectors item to collectors, and those who would sell/use them wouldn't really care.
