Ok. So I am now founding MetCo. MetCo. will build and operate the public transport system (namely the Metro) of the New Republic. If you have a place that you think deserves a metro link contact me and I will consider it. I am currently not hiring any employees.

Also, to be specific. I do not manage the roads or waterways, though I would like to manage waterways. Roads are currently, and always will be, under the control of the government. Unless they decide to privatise them due to money issues.

I have sent a message through the NR conversation cells, crossposting it here for public view.

Today, I will be making the NR Provisional Treasury.

The Treasury will do a number of things.

1. Invest in commodities. 75% will go into diamonds, mainly sourced from the quarry up north, and the other 25% will go into miscellaneous commodities, like beacons and Empire-exclusive items.
2. Provide grants and loans for NR projects. If you're starting a business? Come get a loan, interest-free. Working on a public facility? Get a grant, don't worry about paying it back bro.
3. The NR Treasury will print the first Neore bills. At first, the plan is for a diamond to be exchangeable for 100n, and we're negotiating with staff for some form of fiat currency through a bank system.
4. The NR Treasury will build the backbone of the Neorepublican economy from the ground up. I have plans for a mass commodity exchange, operated by the Treasury. Basically, if you want to sell something, you place an order in the exchange by posting on the dedicated forum thread a form indicating what you want to sell, how much of it you want to sell, and what your ask (number of Neore you want) is. If you want to buy something, you place an order on the thread with the form, indicating what you want to buy, how much of it you want to buy, and what your bid is. A representative contacts and matches the buyer with the cheapest seller in a forum conversation, the parties arrange a time to meet at the exchange and the trade is made using a redstone escrow under the supervision of an exchange worker.

What time zone are you in? I'm in GMT and people are usually on quite late here. It is probably because you are in a different timezone than most others.

How would you plan on using Neore bills? Are they an actual physical object in the game (eg. Paper) or a value given to your name? (similar to rupees on the server)

We are aiming for a in game object, it would be abit trick to store though

May I suggest emeralds then? They serve no real purpose are are fairly rare to mine.

The Treasury will produce Neore based on demand, storing them will not be excessively tricky.
