Raspal has rough designs for an aimable bow that can fire peices of wood the size of branches. They start chopping dead redwoods hollow, in anticipation of building this new device in it.
Raspal's designs for their new defensive weapon is complete. But the courier delivering the plans found on his way a green egg. He rushed back to the castle after delivering the plans to tell of his discovery. The duke of Raspal sent his quickest messenger to go to as many kingdoms as he could, to spread the news.
Sapphire has grown into a juvenile and can almost breathe fire. We are developing a new type of bow and a new design of sword. Alagaesia's army has grown from 1,000 to 2,000.
Raspals messenger saw a large blue bird like creature, and told the ruler of eragon. He was told to propose an alliance with whomever had knowledge about the creatures.
We had knowledge of the dragons, but now that you have the green egg there is only one egg left in the wild: the red egg. Alagaesia declines the alliance ((This game needs a little fighting, don't you think? I wish someone would come in and be the warmonger to make the game fun))
Because of the declined alliance, and the egg's impending hatching, the duke has his best soldiers transport it to the grey valley, named for its stone sides, it also being one of few naturally clear areas, albeit a small one. It is practically impossible to escape without knowing the way out. The only other way out is by flying.
The green egg has hatched. It has been crawling around, and spreading its wings in an attempt to fly, but has not succeeded. The bird activity in the area has increased, and the dragon, now named emerald, has become fond of one of the guards, johnathan.

Alagaesia is preparing for war. We are dividing our 2,000 strong army and placing them in strategic points. Our navy is stationed at the bustling port town of Teirm. 500 men are stationed in the Du Weldenvarden forest, 1,000 are guarding the capital Carvahall, and 500 are guarding the southern Beor mountains.
Sapphire is now fully grown and can breathe fire. A suit of dragon armor is being fashioned for her. A painting: Duke Eragon's old sword named Feurkkieg was presented to the duke. His old helmet Freiheit, the one he wore when he defeated an evil warlord and gained the trust of the king now rests upon his brow.
Emerald is fully grown, and is able to summon creatures from the forest to fight enemies. Johnathan the guard has been promoted to dragon handler, as emerald has grown accustomed to him. Emerald is being made an enchanted leather set of armor, supposedly from what the enchantress has told the duke, summon wind around Emerald, helping slow or stop projectiles like arrows from hitting emerald. Raspal has finished outfitting 100 dead redwoods with their ballistas, the defensive weapon that had been developed for a long time.
The dragon armor has been forged and is fit onto Sapphire. The Duke now is flying Sapphire and our wizard has made a special enchantment that wards off projectiles and swords from Sapphire and the Duke. Duke Eragon is leading 1,000 men to guard the border. Sapphire seems to take a liking to the large lakes and streams that dot the countryside near the border.
