I'm yet to see anything happening besides threats.
  2. I really don't understand why people say this quote so much..

He is the leader, but barely...

I've been saying to myself that there is no way to avoid confrontation here -- We are 100% guaranteed to have war...

Why? Because 1 of these 2 scenarios will happen:

    1) Kim launches nuke at anyone -- regardless of ally or not, war would start to dismantle him as he would of now proven he is trying to start nuclear war. This is actually the better scenario... We go to war and dismantle the regime and get the nukes.
    2) Kim caves to diplomacy - This is even worse than him launching -- why? Because after all this rhetoric and hype, his soldiers are in war mode. They want to kill...

Hes new, hes young. If he gives in to diplomacy, he will have failed his troops, his military will consider him weak, and a coup will begin.

This is very bad news for us - As now we have nuclear weapons in the hands of an uncontrolled military coup who WANTS to use them.

This is very bad news for the world if this happens, as some of the nukes will be shipped away and sold to other countries to make themselves rich.

CNN has done a overview of a recent military drill in the event of war breaking out - and mentioned a coup - and guess what.... we failed.

Getting in there to get the nukes is going to use ALOT of resources, and if we throw in the element of a coup and rogue nukes - we will lose some..

Recent news has proven my theories true too -- as an ex NK spy has reported that Kim is having trouble controlling his troops. So the threat of coup is VERY high...

Honestly, I think a US coalition first strike hitting every military base we know about at once is the only clean solution we have here.

Any land based assault is going to have heavy casualties, and will take way too long to get the nukes (the drills showed potentially 60+ days to get them, and thats if they arent being smuggled out of the country)

We're in for some harsh times :(
  3. I don't know if you knew or not - but the daily currant is an onion clone - its fake satire, which is not good to mix with a serious real update

but this just proves that some country's leader needs to stop worrying about their image, and start looking at the consequences that (useless) negotiations create. @Obama: Stop freakin worrying about not being the next Bush, get off your @$$, and do something. This isnt a popularity contest with the American people, this critical situation that could create a whole new array of problems.
